Here is what I got last week using Rob's part number. Note quite what I thought, but they do work. Snaps on tight. Guess they don't expect you to remove them without damaging? Don't plan on having to remove them.

When I bought my B, the rear mount area was weak. The PO had run a piece of angle iron across and just let the cab sit on it. Ya, you could wiggle the cab around. I cut the rear cab patch off and welded new pieces across tying it into the rear of the cab structure. Wow, the cab is rock solid. Not quite as purdy as your repair, but functional!

Had good rain last night, heavy winds. Kinda hangin' around today. At least it will clean the roads up from last weeks salt/brine dosing!!! Ugh. We've been a bit under temps here, but the slow climb is coming!! Like I told buddy last week...It's MARCH....not Nov, Dec, Jan, or Feb. March!! That means warmth is coming.

True, but you would THINK that dealing with robbers and knowing the history, the banks would spend a bit more then $150 for a camera? Just sayin'.

With all the weight on the back and using that walking beam suspension...it was not hurting itself much. There was a local fellow with an DD powered old Pete and tried doing that trick. Only problem was he had rubber block and it would not rotate enough.

There was a post on Facebook about photos and how things like this are high-definition but every bank picture of a robber is a grainy unrecognizable photo?

I just bought the roll foam strip with adhesive back to use on my B model doors. Unfortunately the channels are not perfectly clean(kinda rusty), but I got foam that is wide enough to stick behind the lip and pretty sure it won't fall out. I used 3/8" thick on the passenger door, 1/4" thick on the drivers door.

Is there not a snow ban? Usually with more the 2" you can't park on the street. Lucky it wasn't this guy's truck....

Awesome. Thanks Rob for the information. Sorry Momma had to be put through all that. I'm thinkin' it ain't the first time??? I need to stop at the Mack dealer and get some oil filters and was going to ask about them. Though they do try to help, sometimes I only get dumb looks if you don't have a serial number. Like the exhaust clamp I needed and someone from the fire truck forum gave me their serial number so I could get the part. I did look through the last few boxes of "Stuff" that was given to me with the truck and I found THREE NOS window channels!! Nice, too bad I don't really need them, but they have the rivet snap that holds them in the frame. I have little trinket bags of all kinds of things, but no window clips.

I have a few other boxes downstairs I'll dig around. Maybe there is something?

Looking for something similar. I'm missing at least one. Not sure which one is correct for the window itself? The wire clip or the slip on? I know clips were on the regulator swing arm, I think the slip on was on the window? Not sure it matters. I'm sure it was just cobbled together from years before. What is actually correct? I've poked around online and can't really find anything similar or "close enough". Local automotive supplier just gave me dumb looks(especially when I said "59 Mack").

Ya, neat piece, but I'm guessing there is not much holding it together anymore??

I got the new 1/4" thick seal on the drivers door. Seems to work really nice now. Closes nice and snug. I got the window glued into the lower mount, should get that assembled today. I'm missing one clip for the regulator. There were two designs, one was a spring horse clip, the other was a side on style with a tab to keep it locked on. Local place had nothing, I'm going to check Azone later today and see if something in the "help" section might work. The passenger door is ready to install the upper channel and install the inside trim and be done with that side!! The mirrors are all mounted and secured on both doors. We're chipping away at it!!!

Play hell doing an inframe? Speaking of bad frames and motorhomes. Buddy and his g/f went to Key west a few weeks back. Took g/f big motorhome. Got down there and was feeling something was wrong. Ya, took to dealership and was told the whole front cabin area was broke loose off the chassis!! WTH? So they had to leave it and hop on the bikes for the rest of the week. They trailered the bikes down. It was a nice motorhome, not a piece of junk. But goes to prove how flimsy those things are.

Ya, HGR, been there a few times for work. It's a BIG place with a LOT of stuff in it. Wish I had the room for a lathe in my garage, but too many vehicles! I have a nice table top mill(vintage JET, not a new cheapo chinese). 9"x24" table, so it's not really small. It took my engine crane to get it up on the bench in two pieces! Guys don't hog machines here, but I won't tear down set ups to do guberment work(and that dept is busy). The problem is we just lost another small lathe(broke it and we're scrapping it), so machines to do this kind of work are hens teeth in our shop. Now, if I wanted to throw that 3" piece of material into the Lehman...but it has a 28" chuck and 38ft between centers> Kinda big for what I need to do. I'm well versed in CNC conversions, so that wouldn't scare me at all.

I got the through hole put in without issue. Drill cut right through. The big thing is cutting the shoulder and the pocket on the adjoining part. The tooling needs to be a razor sharp corner to cut this stuff. The typical steel cutting inserts have radii which is not good for cutting plastic. It tends to just melt it and push it over. Something I just didn't think far enough ahead of. So, I will make up some tooling and start again. Haven't scrapped any material, yet.

Well, I tried to machine the poly urethane yesterday. Didn't go well. I need to grind up some brazed tip tooling as the std steel cutting insert tooling I was using has too large of a radius and just made a mess of it. Ugh. I don't mind making stuff, but getting time in the lathe is hard anymore with the workload in that department. Then to have the wrong tooling? This is when I wish I could just BUY the damn mounts. Either that or I need a lathe at home?

Well I tinkered with the passenger door. The window seems to work a bit easier now. Not perfectly smooth and easy, but not worth tearing it apart, at least now. The door closes nice and tight. On to the drivers door. I got the guts bolted back in, need to get one snap clip for the window mechanism. It either walked away or was always missing? I also got 1/4" thick foam to see if that allows the door to close tighter without having to adjust the striker out so far like with the 3/8" thick foam(that is on the passenger door and works perfect). Baby steps.

Been looking for something to put on the back of the bunk. That right there would be pretty cool.

Near same color of a fellow I met locally about 15 yrs ago with a blue Mack bus. It was in much better running condition! Very cool unit.

So as long as you NEVER have to work on the truck again, it's good? LOL!!
