  1. I Just have small incandescent rectangle marker lights, surface mount kind. I mounted them to a piece of metal so just the edge of the light shines out the bottom of the cab lip. I do have 3/4" LED under the bunk.
  2. My supply tanks only hold for an afternoon at best. Likely the air wiper switch(again). I put a new o ring in it years ago and it really helped with holding air for a day. It was shorted lived. I just had to put a new parking valve in, and I think that has helped a bit now too. One time last summer I lost my start tank in a few days. I think there must have gotten some junk in the check valve going to the tank and it bled off quickly.
  3. I put a flip valve on the dash and a ball valve back at the tank for my air assist steering. I got all the bases covered. Good looking R model.
  4. Mine did well for its first winter. It went 2-3 months before dropping off too low to crank. I hoped it would go all winter, but to no avail. Not sure if it was just the cold or valving? It's all new. Or maybe just one of the fittings isn't totally sealed?
  5. I have a snow blade, but I'd have to put a few thousand pounds on the top of the tractor to get enough downforce to do any good. Though yesterday I spent a good amount of time raking gravel back INTO the drive from last years snow plowing. I try to keep track of where I'm at, but I screwed it up bad this past winter. Ugh. Overall my drive is pretty flat, I tend to make sure I drive all over it, and not just in the same tracks every day. I almost have more driveway surface then yard? Not such a bad thing....less to mow.
  6. I put a 24x24 pad of concrete in front of the garage door, makes for a nice work area since the garage is full. No more dragging a jack through the gravel and loosing ever nut you drop!!! Just wish I could afford to put more down.
  7. Sounds pretty cool. I just spent all weekend thrashing to get my stuff all cleaned and loaded to get over to Beaver Springs for the FE Reunion this coming weekend. Pretty neat event, with some pretty cool guys showing up. Like Ohio George, Bruce Larson, Al Joniac, Hubert Platt(he passed away last year)and others.
  8. I need to make something to drag my gravel drive. It needs some flattening. Though it is about due for another 80 ton or so to fill it in again. Crazy how this stuff just sinks to China every few years and the grass returns. I spray it a few times a summer to keep it from turning too green(though the yard won't stay green?) WTH is that all about? Maybe I need to start driving on the yard LOL!
  9. Ya they are pretty bright. Can't wait to see it at night with trailer.
  10. Ohio George's pinto?
  11. I don't need no IPhone........
  12. Have a ball, Bob.
  13. Haven't seen Jim for a few years now. I met him at Milan Michigan a few years ago when we were both there for a race. Yes, I like how he built his and would like to mimic it.
  14. I have connections to build whatever I want for a visor. Damned if I can ever get around to it. Hoped someone would come up with something I like and I would just buy one.
  15. By the yellow color, it resembles a Kirkland Ranch truck? He was a member of ATHS and was on the early videos with Lindsay Crawford. He had a lot of water trucks in his video, many were ex military. Seems I recall he passed away in recent years?
  16. I always called those "Rockford spins" when I played with my remote control cars way back in the 70's. Haven't really felt the need to try it in a full size car......LOL!!! At least haven't found a place big enough to experiment.
  17. As long as the truck is out in the open and you can get IN/OUT easily? Ugh, with only being able to crawl through the cab into the bunk while in the garage it is a real PITA. Pull wire, get stuck, crawl inside and unstick wire, crawl out and pull, get stuck, crawl inside...........repeat. Man, why do I make everything SOOOOO difficult? It was raining and cold so I wasn't going to do it outside. Weather isn't getting better til next weekend and I have other stuff that needs done then. Sometimes I just want to sell everything and take up checkers? Oh, for the people that never heard the Beach Boys.......
  18. You know your shop is big enough when you loose a 12v71 in the clutter.....LOL.
  19. Lol.....so true that it isn't funny. I think the designers were midget acrobats.
  20. No Go Showboat...... Got some new 3/4" LED's wired up today.
  21. Dang Jim....you'd be the MAN!!! My sister got a brand new Pixy Stik in 1972 from the local bike shop. She barely rode it, kept it a long time but it's long gone now. Friend growing up had an Apple crate and it was the COOLEST thing ever(back then). Now they get stupid money for them. I wouldn't get picky if I found one priced right, but the sad part is you can't leave it ANYWHERE as it would be gone instantly. Like if I took it to a truck show or the race track. Fellow I know has a new Chinese version so it is no loss if it comes up missing. Paid like $30 at Walmart for it. Single speed version, but has little front tire and springer front end.
  22. I want an Apple Crate...just can't spend $2500 for it!!
  23. Friend has 03 Duece blue jean blue in color. He is collecting sheet metal so he can paint it his way but not mess up the factory stripes that you can't buy. My Softail custom was black...now it is Hyundai Blue. I wanted it a crazy blue pearl but this whole paint job cost me $30!! Couldn't say no.
  24. Got some wind therapy myself. Bit last night and then today to work. Nice.......
  25. Like typical OEM, they just put some dum-dum on the brace and push the panel onto it. Once the putty dries and falls off, the panel can resonate. When I fixed my lower cab mount, I too welded the rear panel to the bracing. Of course once I cut it open for the bunk I welded it all solid around the opening.
