  1. Yes, FB has taken it's toll on many forums. Not all, but the smaller forums seemed to dry up as it is easier to just use FB. I still hang with all my old forums, I don't really use FB other then for certain projects and needs. I don't do "family" stuff or get into armchair quarterbacking on whatever is the story of the day on FB. My cheers to FB, when I needed a wrecker to pull the motor in the Mack, BOOM, one post and I had one. Needed to sell the old motor< BOOM, one post to a fellow that needed motor. Gone! It has its good points. Beyond that I stay away. Oh ya, the BMT upgrade? I didn't have any issues with it. Ya, the new look took some getting used to but the function was never an issue(and I have an old laptop at home).
  2. If I would just get mine in one piece and leave it alone. I've enjoyed watching videos from those shows. The german guys are crazy with what they build.
  3. Hi Rob. Good to see you lurking around.
  4. I'm sure Joe's H model surprised a LOT of guys thinking it might have some little 673 in it!
  5. Well, I checked the extinguisher in the kitchen and it doesn't seem to match the recall. Haven't dug into the truck or race car yet to see if they might.
  6. Very sad indeed.
  7. I got to run that old 1949?(real early model long hood forward) R3 at the local train place. Yup, it was like a 237 for chugging the black smoke.
  8. Where's the youtube video of the Russian guys starting the D9 using a bonfire under it??
  9. Was watching some Arnold movie last night. Dang, he's getting old. He was this small town sheriff going after some big drug lord guy. Anyhoo, the drug lord had some heavy hitter badass dude that looked to have a 1872 Colt, 44 caliber, single action kinda old western gun. Yup, that thing was like a gatlin gun and never once saw him pull the hammer back or put bullets in it. Hmmm, Hollywood magic gun? I have one, but it is only a .36 caliber. Looks just like it, matching serial numbers and actually shoots pretty well.
  10. Likely just another guberment day off? I'm sure they ALL voted for that!!! Wonder if in EIGHT years there will be a Donald day?
  11. Wow...........just looking at that bike outside in the snow makes me cold LOL!!! If it isn't near 50*F, I don't get on mine. I'm not diehard enough. I have enclosed vehicles with heaters in them for cold weather LOL! We've been in single digits the last week. Teens during the day. Looking to stay that way through this week. (well it is January). I look at it as just another day closer to spring! Here's me on my 149 Cub pushing a little snow a few years ago. We haven't had enough the last two winters for me to even get the blade on it. (not that I'm complaining)
  12. Glad mine sits inside til April! I do wonder how the old air starter would do in frigid temps? I haven't looked at the air pressure gauge lately but a few weeks ago it was still up over 100 psi. That is only down like 10-15# from when I shut it off in Oct. I know the old 673 would fire up unaided in 18* weather. I tried it years ago. Don't know how the 237 would act?
  13. Found this on Ebay. Some one was looking for a new door/hinges. Kinda pricey, but maybe you can talk them down if no one bids on it? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mack-B-model-glove-box-door/253323564305?hash=item3afb42d511:g:k0UAAOSwlptaAJ3m&vxp=mtr
  14. I've seen the video of the car hauler with all the Porsche's? that got run over by a train. Or was it just older cars?
  15. Nice work on the jig set up. That kept it all in line. Glad to see it worked out!!! Just a lil touch of weld and you are back in bidness......
  16. The split intake manifold(673P) was the "hotter" set up compared to the single log manifold. If you don't have more then 30K lbs behind you, it will run with traffic easily enough. Just don't go to PA and think you can run the hills real fast LOL!!
  17. Or years in a lifetime...............
  18. Now I'm on a mission. Everyone look at their glovebox latch and see what the sheetmetal looks like. Is it damaged like in the pics shown above?
  19. Wish I had some dumb kinda reason to own it(well and a place to keep it that the neighbors wouldn't bitch).
  20. Yup, first look at that and KNEW it was a clariben hood. LOL!! Man, sure does nothing for the looks of a truck. Geez-o-pete.
  21. Ya, didn't think the holes were that big that they needed a dump truck to haul the dirt to fill them???? Love the old flappers. But, ya, the ta-ting, ta-ting sure can get annoying.
  22. ^^surprised they didn't have an "L" and "R" for which way to turn????? My favorite saying........."No, your OTHER left"
  23. I just went to their website. Ok, someone explain this to me?? http://amerex-fire.com/products/camo-units/ "CAMO" fire extinguishers?? Really? You want something like this in "camo"? Geezus what is the world coming to? I can see it now........ Yardo: "Sir why didn't you use a fire extinguisher?" Home owner: "well, I know I had them, but couldn't fit it" Yardo: "You couldn't find it? Why not?" Homeowner: "Well sir, I got the "camo" version because I'm a redneck and thought it was cool, but I guess since it blended in with everything I couldn't find it when I really needed it". Yardo: shakes head This is as bad as the camo tools I've seen, camo flashlights, etc. WTF? I guess if you don't work OUTSIDE then a dark green ddrill might be easy to find. But come the day you are working in the yard and need to find it after you lay it down in the freak'n grass!!! SMH. Sorry, rant over.............
  24. Hmm, I just saw this post. I have a few of these around, guess I need to check the numbers. Luckily we have UPS and FedEx at work so I don't have to check my front yard for wet/snowy boxes......
