Sorry not to have responded earlier guys. When I put the add up a few days ago, I got a promt that it hadn't been posted. The tanks came off the truck but are probably later model. I think one tank has a date in the 1970's. I can ship the tanks and battery boxes. Already sold a member the fith wheel and sent it to Mass. The guy that bought the rears is suppose to be here the week of the 8th, so let me know so that I can get the stuff off this week. Trans is the RT-910. Also have two of the Aluminum rims with the large center hole. Sheet metal is gone. I'm having troube with responding to people that PM. Please email me at lear31@windstream.net

I'm down to the remains of the B74 that I posted up before. If anything needs anything off the engine, let me know before the week of June 8th. Otherwise the balance is going to scrap. I have saved the battery boxes and fuel tanks. Turbo engine is just a core as it hasn't ran in 30 plus years, Email me at: lear31@windstream.net If you see anything you want.

I have decided to part out a truck I wanted to restore. I tried my best to sell it to someone who would finsh but those people are not out there any more. I've sold the sheet metal and front and back axles. This has the original style Mack 6 cyl with the huge turbo. Engine should be considered a core. Hasn't ran in 25 or 30 years. Front wheels still available as well as both Mack fuel tanks, Roafranger etc. Let me know soon. Otherwise it is off to the scrap yard. lear31@windstream.net

Well....it aint a Mack. It's an 1800 series IH Loadstar. Yea I know....why build a truck like that and not put air on it? Your guess is as good as mine. It is in a cold climate and may have been a grain hauler. In addition to being a Mack fan, I'm an IH guy too and the truck in question is just soooo clean....

I'm looking at an older model truck that has a live tandem on a Hendrickson suspension that I'd like to make a rollback out of. It has juice brakes. If I buy it, I'm going to lengthen it and I'd like to add a tag axle of some kind, preferably the kind I can raise and lower, in front of the tandems but I don't think I can get that done without air. Would the only other option be to add it at the rear? Why do I want to do that? Well, I'm going to try and find the longest rollback bed I can find...in the mid to upper 20' range with the wood floor insersts for hauling equipment and rough stuff. The tandem might be ok at 34,000 but it would look a lot safer as a tri axle.

I can't seem to sell my B75 project so after selling off some other stuff, I've taken a renewed interest in putting the truck back together. I need a pair of vent windows that can be rebuilt, the shutter assenbly for the radiator and a radiator cap for starters. I figure these will be the hardest items to source so I'm starting there first. I'd appreciate info on who to even call that might have something. Also need advice on where to get a new radiator core for that aluminum housing setup. Thanks guys! lear31@windstream.net R

FOR SALE Early 60's B75 project ruck for sale
1310monster replied to 1310monster's topic in Trucks for Sale
Well...now I'm out of storage space as well. I'll take $1500 for the truck which is about what it will weigh out in scrap. If no replies by months end she's gone to the great truck graveyard in the sky. -
After a year of ownership, I'm going to have to pass my B75 tandem project on to someone else who can fix her up. I could make excuses but the bottom line is I just have too many other irons in the fire and I don't have inside storage for it. You can check out my initial posting with pics at: http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/topic/25069-intro-and-pics-of-my-b75/ I'm unsure of the exact yer of production. I can get you the number off the right front frame. Someone started to restore and update the truck years ago. The tanks and rears look like they are off a superliner. They are original Mack tanks. Doors on the truck are really good, Left one has a small dent down low but they are rot free. Look almost as good as NOS. And they could have been back when whoever intended to restore it. Front fenders are savable with some work. Cab has the typical rust at he pinchweld in the back but the floors and supports look good. Has some trim and guts for the doors inside the cab. What you see is all that I have. If something is missing, assume I don't have it. It will need quite a few parts sourced but nothing overwhelming. It has the Mack 6cyl diesel with the turbo but it has been sitting for decades. Will probably have to be rebuilt or replaced. Later model Road Ranger trans. 4.10/11 rears. $1950 firm Contact me at lear31@windstream.net

OK! Well....after much deliberation if I should pass the ball or run with it....I think I'll run with it. I'm going to post an add in the appropriate place requesting parts and see what I can rake together. You guys send me a message if you know of any parts for sale that you don't need yourself. I'm concerned most about the hood. I have one pictured but it is Ruff. -

new pics of the trans....Definitely not the duplex. Is there any way to easily ID what I have? It is some sort of RR I think. -

Thanks for the input guys! The hood was off the truck for years so all of that will have to be gone through or replaced. It is interesting that the tanks on the side are/were chrome plated. She must have really been a beauty in the day. I'll post the serial number in a few days from the right front frame rail. -
Hello everyone! I'm a newbie to his forum. I have owned one other B model a few years ago. This week I bought a B75. Actually, I saved the truck from the scrap yard. I had known about this particular truck for 20 plus years. The widow refused to sell the truck after her husband died. Someone had apparently started fixing the truck up 25 years or so ago and just stopped. The scrap yard buys whole trucks like this for $230 a ton so needless to say by the time I paid them back for what they had paid, plus a profit, I have a good chunk of money into it. I just hated to see destroyed. I don't know what my plans are for the truck. I have a lot more projects now than I did years ago when I wanted to buy it. I may just clean it up, straighten the hood up, put some of the emblems back on and use it for yard art for a while. It has all Mack running gear. Even the tanks say Mack on them. I only see one stick for the shifter so I'm unsure what kind of trans it has. This truck has a looong wheelbase. Doesn't appear to have been lengthened either. Will the radiator louver be hard to find? Advice and opinions welcomed! R
