I never made it up. I was going to go after work but today was a motorcycle poker run (150 miles) and instead of going to the Nats, I wound up cleaning the bike and putting on my new Zombie levers and getting the saddlebags back on. I asked some dude that comes into my shop if he was going to the DTNats and he said "yeah, lots of custom pickups there so its going to be cool" - I have never been to the show but after hearing that I had less interest in going if I couldn't roll in with the General, which is still at the repair shop. I don't mind the Petes and KW's but 250 diesel pickup trucks trying to be a big rig I can pass on that.

Sorry to say the General isn't going to make it. I decided to head Into work instead since I had to call out on Tuesday to take my mother for cataract surgery. So looks like I'm shooting for Gerharts next.

Last trip into Queens by LaGuardia airport I did a few months ago in the rain took 8 hours with the F350 and 24' enclosed car trailer. Place is a nightmare. I agree with everyone, over the GWB then Throgsneck. If you go over Outercrossing then Varazano you'll hit a lot more traffic and BS with the construction in Brooklyn. If he hits the road at 4:30 he should be in the city by 6 and just ahead of the rush hour traffic. He should be at the load easily by 7.

Holy crap! What a scary thing. I don't think they guy was expecting his robbery was going to go that way. Rob a bank, shoot some troopers then himself in the head? WTF is wrong with people. I am glad to hear the family is ok and the wife is firearm trained. I have a feeling she would have been able to deal with the situation if she was put in that position if she's Army Strong.

That's not to far from me and I'd love a B wrecker, especially an 81sx. That thing would be a beast fixed up like Tackaberrys. Just cost more than I have to spend to restore. -
I suggest on an angle for maximum holding since straight down will flex front to back and Side to side.
