  1. One thing I forgot to point out. Every time I turn around and start laughing, the road behind us is completely covered in thick smoke like driving through a cloud. My wife was following in my Ram. The general is a smoker!
  2. I've seen that on eBay several times. I think $10,000 is a bit optimistic especially needed an overhaul. There's another B wrecker in south Jersey for $5500.
  3. Crossing my fingers that it will be back from the shop by then.
  4. I used glass cleaner on the dash then hit it some detail spray. The floor I didn't touch until a couple days ago. Removed all the garbage and swept it out. Made a big difference. When I get it back from the shop I am going to hit it with some AP cleaner and a scrub brush. She's coming along slowly.
  5. Wow, that's a nice find for $3500. I'd buy that one if I didn't have the General.
  6. Legally you need 4 points of attachment and a winch doesn't count as one. I would think of some way to put an access door so you can put a strap around the front tires or suspension. Ive done the "good enough" thinking in the past and almost lost a TR6 on the Garden State Parkway at 70 mph when having only three straps on the wheels because the 4th was cut. Car almost went off the Front and the trailer fender kept it on at the cost of $700 in body damage. Now it's 4 straps properly done or I don't move it.
  7. Damn Chinese always trying to out do us with toddler labor. Or... It's all a fake and the "kid" is really a 45 year old midget.
  8. Unless you are 100% sure, it means it probably isn't. Lol That's pretty cool that you found your old rig out there on the internets
  9. Bobby use to have a 97 Freightliner and sold it when his daughter was born 8 years ago and got out of the trunking thing. Between fuel going over $2 a gallon and brokers not adding fuel surcharges and toll hikes, he decided he would rather see his girl grow up. The clutch brake is shot. I've adjusted it several times. I think its just spent. Not being familier with the truck it was hard to find that sweet spot to get it into gear without grinding even with double clutching. Between driving it to my shop from the house I got it at and this run, its the first time he has been in a big truck since he has been out of the game. It felt good running the ol girl for a drive after sitting all those years, even though it was just an 8 mile run. Its really only gone 5 miles when I first bought it to the shop about 4 months ago and this was the second time out on the streets. Nice thing was the oil stopped leaking from the drip tubes by the time we got to the shop.
  10. Two questions I have with the car loaded. How can you open the doors to put the car in gear and apply the brake? How are you going to tie the car down to the hauler with 0 room to access the front of the car for straps?
  11. Good for impending apocalypse Mad Max style. The one thing I am trying to figure out is the seller says used for Columbus Ohio photo shoot but there is clearly no deserts in Ohio. Looks like Nevadas Great Basin. Still if its a running unit $1000 is a good deal. Cut that cage off and scrap it to get half your money back and just put the interior back together.
  12. Yup, thats me on the right there. My buddy Bobby has a CDL and since we were running on a dealer plate, it was a little safer for him to drive since I don't have mine yet.
  13. As promised NEW VIDEO! Did this on Thursday night. Finally was able to crop it down from 19+ minutes to 11. Enjoy http://youtu.be/jYeFGZQAjOI
  14. 300 gallon capaciy of fuel? Nice over road truck
  15. I love the picture of the steering wheel. Looks like wall art.
  16. The last videos I did I used the GoPro. Should mount it under the tandems facing forward. That would be cool. Prob use it on the drive to Gerharts too.
  17. Quick update. The General was dropped off to my diesel guy last night to get some issues taken care of. Got a GoPro video of the drive. It's a bit bouncy because the lock thing on the suction cup popped open and it was loose. I'll edit the 18 minutes down to about 5 minutes and pop it on you tube over the weekend.
  18. Yours had a stage, this just had clutter.
