The problem is people will donate but the money will not find its way to the people. It's been over 6 months since hurricane Sandy messed up the Jersey Shore and 5% of the people got anything. Homes are still wrecked, destroyed, etc and the familys havent recieved a penny. Millions of people donate their hard earned money to help their fellow Americans but its the Govt that does as it pleases with the funds. Look at the people of Katrina? Billions were raised and New Orleans is still not rebuilt in many places the tourists don't see. I agree with Marcel, if there is something we can do as a group here to help, whether offering time, use of trucks, sending donations directly to a family or fire dept, then that's something that will help the people. Here at the shore, we got destroyed but these poor folks in OK got devastated. This was violent beyond any hurricane can deliver. I will step down from my soapbox now.

I deal in classics cars and this question comes up a lot. I always suggest to just use premium fuel. The last Lead fuel was removed in the Mid 90's so for the past 20 years everything has been running on unleaded. If any damage was going to occur in a leaded engine still being used, it would have happened all ready. I had unrestored cars with lead era engines and ran them on unleaded with zero issue. Usually when motors are rebuilt they will install hardened valve seats to make them more unleaded friendly. You can add the lead additive if you wish, it won't hurt, but from my experience it is not necessary.

I have no idea what I am going to do. Thinking of getting a room but I can drive out in 2 hours then back home again. Just don't know if I want to do it with the General back and forth both days. All depends on how good she is once I start to drive her this week. If its not ready, I might just ride the motorcycle out there both days.

I got mine. I'd restore the General, my Firebird Formula, build a nice home (nothing huge) on a crapload of land with two massive barns. One for the car collection and one for trucks. I'd finally get my b61 too. Oh... And a 55 Mercedes Gullwing and Shelby Cobra. And a new Dodge Dually And a few more motorcycles And, well whatever the heck I'd want. $600m goes a long way Oh and take care of my mother, my sister, the In laws and maybe a couple friends.

My neighbor got a notice in the mail this week about her grass being tall, the day after she cut it. I got a notice last year I couldn't park vehicles on the grass. I moved the wife's car (96 bmw 740il) out of the way so I can do some work on our Alfa Romeo on a sunday. Since it was late when I was done I just left the car parked where it was (next to the driveway) until the next morning when we all went to work. A couple days later I get the notice. I also got a notice when I left a set of snow tires in the driveway for maybe 4 hours when someone was coming for them. The note said its illegal to store tires on the property unless indoors. Who the f@&k is keeping track of this crap? Yet the woman down the street has a perminant yard sale displayed daily on her front lawn. Town ordinance states you need a permit to hold a garage sale and only 3 per household per year. Oh wait, she works for the township so selective code enforcement is ok in this situation. It's all bullship and you have to stand up for your rights before they take all of your freedoms away.
