  1. I have Grundy for my cars. My Firebird is in the process of restoration and I added it to my policy a couple years ago at $10,000 in primer no interior and no motor or transmission. I got my new policy and now they put me at $17,000 of value and the car hasn't changed. They just kept upping my value on their own, which I am not going to complain. Agreed value they will work with on you since you can insure it for what you have invested into it.
  2. Rich's T/A always does well. That thing is bad ass! I didn't get a chance to really get out on the show field to see the cars. Just selling my crap nd then seeing if I can find some parts for people. So it's official, the GMC is mine. The cash exchange had been done, a bill of sale signed and this sucker is mine. First big truck I have owned. I was shooting for a Mack but heck, this was too good to pass. The next purchase will be one with a bulldog though. I am going to grab the 4 batteries and see if there is a chance they will charge. I doubt it but at $130 a piece x4 I have to try. Then Sunday we are going to get it out of there. Then back to my shop for a bath then ill pull the ignition and a door lock and bring it to my locksmith for keys to be made. Hopefully the lady can get the title work done by the end of next month. I need to drive it to Macungie.
  3. Welcome and congratulations on the purchase! I think a stock restoration would look the best, especially since it looks to be a solid truck. But I noticed one thing, the steering wheel is on the wrong side.....lol.
  4. Thanks for the tip. I have read enough on this site as well as videos to know to make sure to block the air intake if she starts to run away. It was last started in November of 2012. I got a buddy of mine who is a diesel tech coming down to help me with it to check this thing out. When it doubt, I'll have to get it towed back to my shop where I can work on it easier. It only has to go 4 miles away.
  5. Blue smoke is oil but if it hasn't been run in a while, the seals maybe a bit dry. Start using it and everything should swell back up and the smoking will start to go away. This is common for any vehicle that has sat for a long time without use.
  6. I made the deal! She is going to meet me at my shop tomorrow and we are going to finalize the exchange. She also said she is going to be able to get the title for me so that is a great relief. I have to figure out how the heck I am going to get it out of there now. Hopefully with a couple good batteries it will fire up and I can drive it to my shop. Then next week I'll give it a bath, air up the tires, and change the oil. I am going to bring my GoPro and film the whole thing then mount it in the cab so I can video my first attempt at driving a 13 speed. Looks like I'll be going to Macungie with this puppy!
  7. Well, the negotiations have started. I'll have an answer by the end of the day. Cross my fingers but I think we'll be able to come to a price everyone is happy with. Then I have to deal with getting a title.
  8. I like the BMT shirt idea. Big BMT on the back with an R model on one side and a B on the other? I'd buy one of those.
  9. I disagree. The Fox body Mustangs have been increasing in price and collectibility over the past few years. Clean original uncut up cars or well done modified rides are cresting the $10,000 mark. Last year i sold an 80 with a later model face lift with a nasty motor for $12,000 and an 86 conv with low miles for $9500. My wife has a 90 GT that she bought brand new and still owns. People are constantly trying to buy it from her. Here is a pic of the wife's ride.
  10. I am going. I already took the time off from work. Hopefully I will be there with something. Maybe the General if all goes right this week.
  11. Isn't it a forum rule, if you don't have pictures, it didn't happen?
  12. That's neat. Real shame to cut this up though. It's in real nice shape. The stray cats are going to be using it for shelter soon.
  13. The R hood is still available. I would like to move it off my trailer soon. Preferably into someone else's yard. Contact me if you have interest. As stated, I can deliver within reason.
  14. That's Toyotas super articulating frames for offload supremacy
  15. I was thinking bar. Mount a tv in the grill, speed bar behind, bulldog tap with a kegerator mounted under it, side fenders could be used for seating or a place to eat. Make the lights functional. Perfect man cave addition.
  16. No, I had the only Mack part in the whole joint. Mostly car and motorcycle stuff
  17. This is me leaving the Swap today. I had to figure out how to haul my friends Hyundai I didn't sell and the R model hood. SUV was about 15' long, hood about 4.5' all on a 16' deck. I got the hood over the front of the trailer with a couple pieces of 2x8 and a 4x4 on the winch plate to pick up an extra 1.5 feet and was able to get the Santa Fe on the back with about 6" to spare behind the tire. Fit pretty damn good and no issues with tongue weight. I had to drop this at a friends place 8 miles from the track for the night so I can go back for the 12' enclosed motorcycle trailer. Saved me around 2 hours of round trip driving tonight so I can get everything out of there before nightfall. Anyone want to buy a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe for $4,900?
  18. Welcome to BMT. Send pictures of your rig when you can. We like photos on this site.
