  1. In my search for tow trucks I came across these two This is 88 DM (?) is one tough looking truck: http://jerseyshore.craigslist.org/ctd/3653651533.html This is a good looking rig. 2000 CH613 with 25 ton Jerry Dan body: http://newjersey.craigslist.org/cto/3667078641.html
  2. Good luck on the infection. I am happy to hear its not worse. You are blessed to have a loving family who will stand by you through thick and thin. You know we here will do the same. As for keeping close to the bathroom, just exchange your air seat with a portopoty and you can just keep rolling without having to stop. Solutions that make sense, that's what I'm here for.
  3. If you have a drivers fender that might be good since this one will need work. I got the guys # and will call him tomorrow
  4. Prob going to suck for mileage but still just a cool truck for a toy hauler. I can get a used rollback body for $2500-3500 and install is about $1500-2000 depending on what is needed. Make a badass classic car transporter and do some old truck shows. Then I can find a b61 to pull a 3 car wedge.
  5. I don't know why but I feel the need to buy this truck. http://allentown.craigslist.org/cto/3615129436.html Be cool to mount a 21' rollback body on it. 345 gas with a 4 speed and 2 speed rear. Seller said $1000.00 takes it. Low miles and low price is a good combo.
  6. I hate when sellers don't have any real information listed like specs, miles, rust, etc. just runs good call. Also they post a couple crappy pictures then ask top dollar. How about a full side shot and 3/4 front shot so you can see this thing in its entirety? I want to see and know all about what you are selling and not guess. If the seller puts no effort into trying to selling it, I will put no interest in buying it. Now that my usual eBay rant is over that's the first C tractor I have seen. Most were Dumps. Looks cool. That is all you Tom. I hope you get it.
  7. There were two or three single axle Mack's on Craigslist for under $10,000. I think around $8k really. Do a search with search tempest within a 200 miles radius and you'll find them. Most important is to get your insurance quotes from several different companies before buying another cdl truck.
  8. I thought if you can't afford a lawyer one will be appointed to you? These idiots are going to put themselves into debt for this schumck? He needs to man up and take the consequences for his actions. These libs need to stop babying him and let him learn the hard way. If his own parents gave up on him, there is no hope. Too bad it's not like the old days where you tie a pillowcase over his head and then take him for a long ride in the trunk of a Lincoln down a dirt road, then make him get on his knees with a .45 behind his head then CLICK. Then you tell him next time it's going to be loaded. Then drive away and let him figure out how to get untied and back home on his own. Wait, is that's not politically correct now is it?
  9. I haven't had the chance to call yet. I plan to on Monday and see what he says. At least I have a little more input on it.
  10. Found this one across from me at the Exxon yesterday. Sorry for the poor cell pic
  11. http://newhaven.craigslist.org/cto/3605863030.html Does anyone know anything about this R in Bridgeport Ct that's for sale? I planned on calling the owner today but got busy and its a bit too late to call at almost midnight. I am at a disadvantage since I don't know much about these things so I wouldn't know what to ask besides the standard questions like which engine, what transmission, miles and what it needs. The price is right in the range I am comfortable paying for a hobby truck. Any advice would be useful.
  12. Nice trucks. I dig the single axle CH. that would be perfect truck for me to pull a 3 car trailer. The color on the R is pretty unusual but i dig it. Looks like you got some cool rigs.
  13. I like those generals. There's one about a mile from my home just sitting at a house that looks abandoned. I left a business card on the door saying I will buy it but haven't heard from anyone.
  14. Miller Air Park. I used to run down there too. Well more like watch. One night the cops came and busted around 30 cars. I had my Blazer that night and took off through the woods to avoid the law. Had no idea where I was going but I followed a Toyota pickup and behind me was some kid in his mothers LTD station wagon we hit some road the guy in front of me went left, I went right and about 40 minutes later I finally found a road I knew. Ah good times Paul, I might have some of those pictures of that GTX on my work computer ill post when I get to work tomorrow.
  15. The sad thing I knew this would happen again. Give the kid a slap on the wrist and he won't change. They think they are invincable and can get away with anything. Hopefully he will serve some real jail time now he is a repete offender. At least we can hope. Look on the bright side, he might make a new boyfriend named bubba.
  16. You know what the problem with doing nothing is? You never know when you are done.
  17. I have been reading the manual myself and plan on taking the written test next month. A buddy of mine has a truck for me to use to take the road test with. I won't have an issue with the driving portion. I have been hauling big trailers for years so a long as I know my pre trip stuff and remember to double clutch I am fine. NJ makes sure you double clutch. Even though I am looking for a hobby truck I would still like to hook a three car trailer and use it at my dealership to haul cars to auctions. This way I have a purpose to own it not just a large vehicle sitting around. Also if I am at the dealer auction and a truck rolls through and sells for cheap I have a way to get it back without having to phone a friend to drive it to my place.
  18. That would be killer with a 28' rollback on it. Awesome find!
  19. Paul, that last picture looks very familiar. I had a green 70 GTX with a 440 and 6-pack at my shop we sold a couple years that was a known Brooklyn street racer and we had a bunch of pictures like that.
  20. Now if they throw on a genuine CB radio and give me a Handle, I am signing up! Then i can say "Got me cobra 19+ with a radio shack antenna and call myself pork chop and lookout for dem smokies."
  21. Mythbusters did a show on this and took an old Mercedes Benz diesel (300 I think) and ran straight cooking oil in it and all they did was strain out the food chunks in the used oil. It ran perfect but smelled like French fries. You might run a risk of fat kids running after you for a happy meal. I heard you can mix a couple gallons of kerosene in diesel in your tanks to stop the gelling. Something they did back in the day?
