  1. Ok I think i understand the big question. should tom register the truck for 33,000 lbs or 59,000 lbs at the gcvw of the tractor and trailer? What is the proper and legal thing? I know you can register for under gvw but I have never heard of registering or more than the factory rating. This is where the question of the total combination comes in.
  2. A pair of 78 Trans Am fenders were stolen from me at the englishtown swap meet prob around 1992-1993. My buddy and I walked the whole place that night looking for them. Never found the scumbags. I carried around a 383 Mopar camshaft to beat the SOB. I found out some guy had 4 blowers stolen and another guys nova disappeared the same day.
  3. I got a couple of these in this scale. I have a 379 Pete with car carrier trailer and a couple flatbed rollbacks. I haven't found and B or R model Mack's like this yet.
  4. How about posting a link and some pictures. I can't get you up on the interwebs
  5. Paul. Sounds like someone knew what you had. The max wedge and hemi motors are worth more than the Chevy engines and m21s always have a fast sale market. They knew what they were taking. The good thing is there are less 426 and 392's out there so it will be easier for them to be found then one of a million small/big block Chevys that are everywhere. I have some good classic car clients in LI and will give them a call to keep an ear out and I will let you know if I hear anything.
  6. Got mine too. My wife said "oh know what did you get on ebay now". After I opened the box I said he'll yeah hot sauce! I haven't tried it yet since there is no food in the house. We still haven't got the new fridge yet. I have to trim the overhang on the countertop so we can fit a real sized fridge. Once we replace the cooler with new fangled ice thingy I'm going to do some bad ass cooking with this stuff. I assume it doesn't need to be refrigerated?
  7. That reminds me of the bully kid who would wait around the corner ready for some little kid to come around and BAM, there he was with his foot on the wall, smoking at 13 years old grabbing the kids milk money. awesome
  8. I am actually learning German right now. I have lots of family who speak it and I am always lost at family gatherings.
  9. LOL - I thought I was trying to show off - lol. This is the back translation: Vlad great pictures. Your country is interesting to see. I also did not know the camels were in Russia and lived in the cold. Those houses look beat Forums Detriot. Please post photos when you get the chance. Your country is not something that we will see a lot and carefully, to see the small villages that you usually do not see watching TV.
  10. I delivered a 1969 Mustang Mach 1 to the buyer in Pittsburg New Hampshire in Feb of 2007. The temp was around 6 degrees. The guy owned a lodge on Lake Francis (I think that was the lake). Me and the other driver left at 4am, got there at around Noon. Sleds were FLYING on the frozen lake, not one of them under 70 mph. Then we heard some nasty sounding Ski and this guy was balls to the wall. The dude we delivered the car to said that was one of the fastest guys in the area. He was probably doing 130mph on the lake just then. Some kind of turbocharged Ski Doo. SOB was nuts. Funny thing when we pulled into his parking lot. A couple guys where there with their snowmobiles and they said "Oh, lets get out of the way so this guy can get his sleds out of his trailer" - I told them, no sleds, just a 69 Mustang. They looked at us like we were aliens and said "What the hell are you going to do with a Mustang in the snow?" This is the Mustang I sold:
For those of you who have no idea what I just wrote: Vlad, great pictures. Your country interesting to see. I also didn't know camels were in Russia and lived in the cold. Those beat up houses looks like sections of Detriot. Please post more pictures when you get a chance. Your country is not something we get to see much of and its neat to see the small villages that you usually do not see watching television.
  12. And people don't understand the costs you have to pay in tolls when you give them a rate quote for delivery out to Long Island . I get this all the time: "But its only 100 miles from you" - But I have $200+ in expenses between tolls and fuel! The one guy I told him $375 to deliver a car out to exit 64 on the LIE so he said, "I have a buddy with a tow truck who will do it for less" - I said no problem, call him. I got a call back in 10 mins saying when can you deliver it. His "Buddy" said $500 to come out to us and back. I guess people expect everyone to work for free now.
  13. I think most of that will buff right out. What we have here gentlemen is yard art.
  14. Yup that's the one I had seen up at macungie. I actually lived in Holmdel and used to see those things all the time.
  15. I want to take that thing to mudfest. Cool rig
  16. Nice looking DM - A little engine detailing is needed though. Still, shes a looker.
  17. I bought this one on Ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/DCP-IH-INTERNATIONAL-TRANSTAR-II-CAB-OWNER-OPERATOR-SEMI-TRUCK-1-64-WHITE-BLACK-/380548003012?pt=Action_Figures_Diecast_US&hash=item589a6db4c4
  18. Update: Your prayers and well wishes have been very helpful. The boss is starting to recover. He is still at 60% but out of the hospital and has been in the shop a couple hours a day before he gets tired and goes home. He still has memory loss which is hard for him as he remembers everything. Time will tell and heal. I had the honor of being a pall bearer at the funeral. It was a sad day but we got through it. My cold is just about gone. It really kicked my ass. What ever it is that is going around it is strong as hell. Still have a flem cough but I feel a heck of a lot better. As for the cat, many of the test results came back negative which is a good thing but still waiting on the spinal tap results to see what this tumor like thing is. But the best news is tonight I noticed the cat has regained her vision back a bit which is telling us we are going in the right direction. The medication she was given is working. I am not a very religious person but I think one of the things you guys told me I really held onto. "God doesn't give you more than you can handle" - This helped me get though this rough time as well as the power of positive thinking. In one week I was really down but with the good news of our pets recovery, there is a good light at the end of this tunnel. Thank you everyone from my wife and I for all of your support!
