  1. Some motorcyclists already did their part in stopping those whack jobs. Originally posted as Hells Angels group Angel action I see the pictures look more like local riders. Still they showed up and those thugs left. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/12/19/westboro-baptist-church-protest-newtown-victim-funeral-_n_2331880.html
  2. Here is the build I mentioned. Super nice work http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/topic/6853-b-model-car-hauler/
  3. If I am correct the only difference is swinging doors. Body dimensions are the same.
  4. Merry Christmas. I got an early gift, a nasty cold. I guess I was naughty this year.
  5. Thank you for sharing and welcome to the site. Great rig you had there! Do a search in the last week or so on this site and you will see a B61 that is converted from a fire truck to a race trailer hauler. I think you would appreciate the build as it will closely resemble what you are looking to do yourself.
  6. Woof, too far of a drive for me. Good luck. She's a nice rig and priced right for a quick sale I think.
  7. You are correct. I remember when Roadway used these things all over the place.
  8. Cool but it looked like you were going unconscious with all that smoke
  9. Video needs no explanation http://youtu.be/m48vyc5beNg

  11. I found this from his first post here in July: tilynb61 - Did you ever fix the blowby issue? Where are you located? What is the wheelbase length and also from the back of the cab to the rear axle? Looks like a good candidate for me to swap out the flatbed for a Rollback.
  12. I know, its not a Mack but I found a no reserve auction for this C model Ford with only 55k original miles on ebay. I tossed in two bids to $750 then figured I would wait to the end to try and steal it. Since I work on Saturdays and had to deliver a motorcycle I sold yesterday, I missed the end of the auction. Oh well. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1982-ford-f700-cab-over-single-axel-tractor-/160942009339?_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&forcev4exp=true#v4-39 I have an old black and white picture of one of these with a 4 car carrier from the 60's hauling Shelby Mustangs next to my desk. I just thought it was too cool and cheap to pass. Oh well. Oh and this was the motorcycle I delivered today:
  13. How do I get roped into a road trip? LOL.. The only thing in that Boneyard that looked enticing was this:
  14. Maddog - I go to those auctions. most of those big dollar cars are not just toss a Hemi and sell it for big bucks. They are high dollar restorations that take thousands of hours and dollars to built. A buddy of mine did a 71 Cuda convertible pro touring style. It was used jn the grundy ads for a while. He had $300k+ into that thing and when he sold it at BJ it only brought $88k. Talk about a loss! Many of those buyers are well versed in cars and know what they are buying (Mecum) but at Barrett's (Scottsdale) you get big big egos and bigger bank accounts competing with each other. They will spend an extra 50,000-300,000 just to out do the other guy saying you arn't getting this one. They are buying a couple minutes of TV time so their buddy's at home can see them.
  15. The LIE isn't as bad as the BQE. That shithole has potholes with their own zipcodes. I've gone 4 wheeling on smoother dirt roads. Everyone wants to go around a trailer because they don't want to be stuck behind one. They will do anything to cut your ass off and then give you the finger. My customers ask why it's so expensive to go to Long Island. They say "it's only 90 miles or 120 miles from the shop". Except those 100 or so miles take an entire day to get out there and $100 in tolls. If they don't like the surcharge call a towing company and see what they charge then get back to me.
  16. Only 4.5 hours from me. Nice day trip. I have been to the Fredricksburg auto auction before. There's a weigh station just north on 95 that's pretty strick. Went by with our dually and the 38' two car trailer and the fuzz was watching as I skipped the station. Private truck not for hire but I was waiting for them to pull out and follow me. Next time I'll take 301 back.
  17. That's freakin cool. Id pass on looking for a B to get that thing. A little crusty but oozes with charm. Paint the headlights red, tint the windows and chase people at night.
  18. $100 and a can of Schlitz beer is my offer, a damn good one at that. If he passes, he's just not ready to sell.
