  1. I don't know, that's kinda cool for the novelty of it. I thought that had to have been loud at heck too from road noise but a cool concept. Of course I am thinking about it as something you never would see in a show and it was prob a scary thing in realility.
  2. I was wondering the same thing in NJ. I find all sorts of stuff I would love to pick up but didn't know if I needed a CDL for an antique registered truck. I might just have to pick up a B and R model now. Maybe an IH cabover too. . . Woops wrong forum for that
  3. Call Sam the Jeep man in barnegate nj (609) 660-1320. He should be able to help you. Tell him JT from Future Classics sent ya.
  4. Shill bidding is an unfortunate eBay reality. Happens everyday. I am with fxf when it comes to items relisted after it sold. Good example is the U model flatbed in Newark NJ a couple weeks ago. As for this one, that is a scary looking homemade wrecker body.
  5. I am planning to go to CT in the next two weeks to check this thing out. I have determined I do not have access to the right equipment and I might need some help. Its not around the corner from me and if I halfass trying to bring this back i can see something going wrong. Anyone in the CT area or going to be in the CT area with the right trailer to haul this thing back to NJ if I make a deal?
  6. Miked How can you post this with out a picture? Isn't this against forum rules?
  7. Welcome! I joined a few months ago and this place is addicting. Everyone is real nice and helpful. Since joining I have an itch to buy a b Mack I need to scratch.
  8. I was standing in the road, not driving. To the right of the picture you can see the 3 car trailer I was standing next to. I don't text while driving. I have enough problems typing on this iPhone in the house.
  9. I was bs'n with the carrier and when I just turned around to see if I was to far in the street I looked down the road and saw him coming. I had about 7 seconds of lead time so I was able to shoot it. I was going to wait until he was right next to me but there was another box truck coming from behind me. My luck he would block the shot so I took it. Real clean rig, lots of chrome and it sounded sweet too.
  10. I was in front of my shop helping a driver load one of our cars getting shipped out. The guy had an F350 with a 48' 3 car wedge but will be upgrading to a 7 car carrier next month. I then caught this R tractor coming up the road. I whipped out the iPhone and snapped this real fast just so I can share it with you guys. The driver (car carrier guy) looked at me and said "You like the Mack trucks?" in his accent. I said "Its an R Model, what's not to like?" He just smiled at me.
  11. And by knowing this your marriage will last.
  12. I appreciate the work done but it takes away from the classic styling that makes a B so beautiful. Value is in what someone will pay and I think that will be a hard sell.
  13. I finally remembered to measure the width of the 2 car trailer at my shop. It's not wide enough at only 82" of deck width. I either need a pintel trailer or some kind of 102" deck trailer. Nuts.
  14. Bored on Youtube, I found these behemoths:
  15. Thats excellent. I couldn't see it when I clicked the picture because I was focusing on the small details. When it went back to the smaller picture it was clearly in view. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA - Mint!
  16. Nice shorty. My buddy was looking for a single axle to pull a 3 car trailer. I'll send him this.
  17. I have a boat I'd consider trading too. Didn't want a dump but looks like a cool unit.
  18. I will try to make the show. I can meet some of you guys in the flesh and get more ideas for buying a hobby rig.
