  1. What I usually do when it's polished aluminum is hit it with a acid like aluminum brightener sprayed on let it sit for no more then a min then rinse with water, then u have the clean surface, then I used a cutting type polish and clean off then last I use mothers aluminum polish and it's a mirror finish every time it takes a while but it's worth it
  2. Thanks guys its a shame I really don't have a big budget I would love to buy a new or next to new truck but can't see spending that on something I won't use oftern

  9. Yes they did only 80,000 over the bridges gotta go through manhattan if u want to carry 120,000
  10. By 2015 any truck with a type 2 permit that is 2006 or newer must have a steerable/trackable third axle. A type 2 permit is a grandfather downstate permit which makes the truck able to carry between 76,000-80,000 depending on tires front axle etc. they will be able to keep the type one permit which will probably give it somewhere around 67,000. If the truck is older then 2006 then ur grandfathered in and in the clear for now like me lol
  11. Yes 80k it's a real nice truck but won't be good for NY after 2015 with the new grandfather over weight permit laws coming into effect I would buy it if I could

The green 1954 is my favorite little truck that truck when we bought had 60k original miles and u could eat off the floor zero rust was a local guys pride and joy who bought it brand new its a shame we converted it into a snow truck and gave it the death sentence but it's getting sandblasted and painted our color this spring, the s2500 was an old Nassau county truck with a dt and straight 7 spd fun to drive sold her last year just to far gone to fix up again and the Chevy is a 454 4spd with a/c 5500 original miles was a brush fire truck it's like a little time capsel so much fun to drive!
