Antique Truck Hobby Question
mackbulldog64 replied to jaysm35a2's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
All the truck clubs I see are most elder gentlemen out of respect and very few young poeple. So maybe that is why few trucks clubs are out there. The younger poeple are not intrested in truck clubs. Years ago I use to belong to my local old truck club in the Binghamton area but I did not own a old truck and the reason I joined is becuase I collect 1/64 scale rigs of all types and maybe I can display my truck at out local show but the year I joined is the year they stopped have a local show as having it in the Binghamton area. The old truck clubs has to think out of the box to attrac the younger poeple and there not doing that. Also becuase they stop having a local truck show in the Binghamton area I never went back to the old truck club in my area. The next closes truck club is in the cortland area and that is out of my area to too far to travel at night for there meetings. Also I know there ara a few older poeple and also young poeple in my area that owns old trucks but there is no local old truck club with in the Binghamton NY area. Terry E Davis -
I agree with this 100% Terry E Davis

You say you want all this stuff on the Titan or else if it dont fit you needs you will not buy a Titan. My question to you is what are you running now? And the truck your running now does it has all the stuff you want on the Titan on the truck you running now?????????????Also what other trucks you looking at beside the Titan? Becuase I agree with the other guy in saying the Mack Titan is a Heavy Construction Truck and really not made for a long haul OTR tractor. I am 90% sure yoiu will have to go else were for a truck that you want to your spec . Also how much money you willing to spend on a new truck to your specs? Becuase I think it will be over $200,000 american money for what you want. May upwards of 250 grand. FYI The Titan is I think the most exspensive truck on the market now as we speak. Wow! They finally added a sleeper to the Titan. The 1st pict looks odd becuase no sid skirts so I thouught to myself I wounder what it would look like with side skirts and wham I look down farther on the post and there is a pict with side skirts and as looking at the pict it does look like a cob job from the pict. But I cant really judge its looks by the pict. I have to see it in person. Is that the same spec sleeper they put on the granite? Or they made a totally new sleeper to fit the titan cab? Also are they goona be coming out with bigger sleepers for the Titan? Terry E Davis of Johnson City NY

mackbulldog64 replied to Mack 3P's topic in Modern Mack Truck General Discussion
They started useing the drop down windows in 03/04 model rear in that cab style. I thinks its a option.I wounder who bought the tri drive and what there goona be hauling with it? Terry E Davis of Johnson City NY -
I thought on this site were suppose to promote mack trucks and not oshkosh trucks. Let him buy that Titan! We need more macks sold! Just kidding and do what best fits your budget to make big money. Good luck Terry E Davis of Johnson City NY

Very nice picts of the Titans! I saw my first Titan on Rt 81 going south towards Scranton Pa comeing from the Binghamton NY area. WORKING! It was a blue Tri axle heavy hauler pulling a tandem axle flat bed trailer. I saw it on the Monday after Easter when I was comeing home from Long Island NY All my best. That is ok I was only kidding when I siad that. I watch trucks very carefully in the states here and you will be surprised when another dealer buy from a dealer and how much the price goes up. For example a trucker dealer in new england area had a 05 pete long nose tri axle heavy hauler tractor for $69500 then a month later it was for sale by a dealer in texas for $84,000 . Who ever was looking at that truck should bought in new england if they wanted to save money:). Yes its a very big game. That is why I watch the truck prices very carefully in the state here. Last Superliner
mackbulldog64 replied to Peteman's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
That superliner came from the factory with a 42" low top sleeper and you right about his wife so that is why they put the hi top sleeper on it. I only wished that truck had the daul air cleaners in it instead on the single air cleaner on it. Terry -
Before these poeple had it and was going for 28,500 so we called up there and they said the bottom line they will take would be 24,000 then a few week after we see the these guys are trying to sell it for 38,500. I guess the want to make over a 10,000 profit of the truck. The odometer reads 160,000 miles but they cant garentee its the correct miles on the tractor and the hour meter shows 9800 hours. Its a very nice truck but no one seems to know the correct history on the truck snd we saw red flags on the truck so we passed it up. So how much do I get for telling you the price that you wanted to know????:)lol I hope this helps you out. Terry

American Logger
mackbulldog64 replied to mackbulldog64's topic in Modern Mack Truck General Discussion
I see alot of Lonetars out on the road more and more. Most of them I see are from Canada area. I sit in a park in Binghamton area next to the hiway and I always see a Lonestar going past but no Mack Titans. As far as the prices on a lonestar I have no idea how much new they cost new. I only know Mack and Kenworth . Terry -
Just here watching American logger and they showed alot of there Mack Titan that rolled over. This episode was a very good one running in the snow. Larry has to prove himself after rollong the Titan. Lucky they fixed it in shop. The other Titan they never showed. Still to this day I never seen a Mack Titan out on the road working. I think the Titan will be a very scarce truck than anyother truck out there. The only Titan running in my area is Coventrys Trucking and they haul milk and that been in our mack shop alot. I see alot of conentrys trucks running on the road but not there Titan. Terry E Davis of Johnson City NY

New Mack Model Coming Soon.
mackbulldog64 replied to Mackpro's topic in Modern Mack Truck General Discussion
Very nice looking ! Looks like its going to Canada Bound. I see they lifted the sleeper off the frame a bit. Maybe we will see a sleeper like that on a Titan:) The only thing I dont like on the truck is it should have daul stacks. Terry -
Funny that you say you bought a truck from Coopersburgh KW. Back is 1994 we almost bought a new and a used truck from Libetry Kenworth in Chester Pa. intill we did some resarch and found out they also owned Coopersburgh kw and Bernie Enterprises truck sales so I did some investigating on the used truck and decided not to buy both the new and used trucks from them. Most of there trucks they sell used were recustructed wrecked and totaled trucks that they piece back togather and sell. That were the company Bernie Enterprses truck sales come in. They finally closed the chester pa dealership and move it to a new location in Swedesboro NJ and now called Liberty kenworth of South Jersey. The chester pa dealership was a very hard loctation to get a big rig in and it was a very old biulding with no room. So if your looking to lease a biulding in chester pa area there biulding is for lease at 2,500 a month! We finally bought two trucks from The KW dealership in Dunmore which we made out very good thru them. We they told you they did an inframe did you ask to see paperwork on the work they did ? Also did you call them and tell them you had problems and did they give you the run around? That was another reason why we did not buy from Liberty/Coopersburgh KW becuase when we did reserach we found out some horror storys about them. We leaen from other poeple mistakes:)lol That what my grandfather tells me all the time. Sorry to hear you had the problem with the truck you bought from Coopersburgh KW. Terry E Davis

The saleman will tell you anything good about the product he wants you to buy that is why you have to ask all the right questions and investigate and find out all the bad things about the product he wants you to buy. You have to be one step ahead of the saleman. I also feel for you guys when you said the salesmen lies thru there teeth but there are ways to get around that. I know what I just said it easier said then done but all you have to do is try. You always have to secound guess your saleman and investigate what he tells you before you buy. Terry E Davis

If you know Cat. Cat is always looking to buy other companys out and do joint ventures with other comnpanys to try to corner the market. This is nothing new with Cat. As far as the looks of this new Cat Truck I dint like it one bit. It looks to be a IH cab with a made up Cat nose on it. This is a Joint venture with IH. Oh dont worry there are poeple out there that would buy anything. You aint see nothing yet so stayed tuned! Terry

New Mack Model Coming Soon.
mackbulldog64 replied to Mackpro's topic in Modern Mack Truck General Discussion
Thanks for the reply guys. I never really noticed the windshields if there a one or two piece. I will have to look at them now. As far as the MD granite a single axle dump would be great! Also a box van, lumber flat bed, service truck. Or any application that does not reqiure a big horsepower engine and a truck that calls for medium duty work. I hope we dont see companys getting these and useing them like the HD granites! Also getting back to the Titans . I see left over 2010 there giving big discounts on them! Terry -
New Mack Model Coming Soon.
mackbulldog64 replied to Mackpro's topic in Modern Mack Truck General Discussion
This is my thinking why they came out with the medium duty granite. To make it less exspensive for poeple that cant affrord the hd grantie and can buy the md grantie and have the same looks. Thses days its all about the price so they can sell more. Less is more! Does anybody know on here if the mack Grantite sales went down? Also will this sleeper be avialable for the HD grantie? Also a two piece windshield for for the Titan? Why this option and what is the purpose of a two piece windshield for the Titan? Maybe mackpro can shed some light on this post. Thanks. mackbulldog64 replied to GreenGiant2's topic in Modern Mack Truck General Discussion
Looks like the The Pelletier family is back buying Western Stars and not buying Mack anymore again. I guess those two Mack Titans was enough new macks for them. Too bad. Terry
