    How is the condition of the turbo?

    Guess you could drill and pin the gear with a steel pin never had to do that before . If the gear has already slipped it will most likely do it again.

    Gear could slip on injection pump drive also it is not keyed.

    Vise grips can take out other half of bushing in housing get new one at mack maybe $5 take 5 min to replace

    I would fix the coolant in the harness and module issue first . Most of the aset engines that blow black smoke was either boost leaks or exhaust leaks and low fuel psi . Once and while you get a egr valve issue or egr cooler dumping coolant into mass flow pipe , but that usually has other symptoms .

    With reman from mack you will get a better warrenty . Don't forget all the extra stuff new belts, tensions, thermostats ,nows the time to make it new again..

    Check the low coolant sensor those are bad for leaking coolant into harness and following inside wires to module for engine also oil psi sensor /fuel psi but usually its the low coolant sensor on aset e-tec engines. You can try to clean module but if its real bad you will have to replace .

    If it is running on either that means that everthing other than pump and injectors is ok . So problem could be injector pump or timing of pump to engine gear slipped on cam shaft or slipped on pump drive or bolts loosened at econovance coupling . If you are using a a-b lite timing tool to adjust / set timing be careful I have had some pump shops not get the back half of injection pump in time . Best to flow time with high psi or remove plunger and low psi time pump. Good luck let me know what u find.

    Check for boost and exhaust manifold leaks first . Any leaks on these engines will cause issues . Any malfuction lite codes? Oil in the front side of Turbo is coming from air compressor intake piping and is normal for older trucks.

    under turbo if its in a mp engine . have to remove turbo to get to cooler .

    Yes cut counter bores , crank I would have to see it myself to determin sometimes you can polish crank up enough in the chassis to be ok if you are going to do the cam and liners, pistons counter bores . Need to look at the price of a reman from. Mack and you would be set

    Tan/brown super has a e7400 the , blue/purple has a e9 ,the black super dump truck has a 440 cummins . The B models I think are for sale they are at a auction company.

    Check a/c high psi switch ,if a/c is showing ecu high psi it turns fan on . Also check for contaminated ecu connection like coolant in harness.
