On the other hand, Dad used to tell me that if you someone doing something wrong and don't say or do something about it, you become part of it. Aptitude is good, but attitude is everything. If he want's to be the best in the world, he just has to have that mind set. A little encouragement helps. I like trucks myself, but tracks might be a better way. Construction is not over in this country, and a really good track mechanic can demand a lot more for his talents.

At the lower left of the home page is a heading, forum filters, so I thought I would see what it consisted of. when I had filtered out forty Craigs list for sale items, and any other items that might be of no personal interest, there had been 3 postings in the last 24 hours. Better still I have a built in personal filter, if something is offensive to me I won't waste time with it. I don't need someone else filtering stuff for me. If you have studs broken off flush, or slightly protruding, lay a thick washer, with a smaller inside diameter over the broken stud, and mig weld the washer to the stud. Get enough weld on it to put some heat into the stud. Then weld a nut to the washer. Using a combination wrench , loosen gently at first, or loosen and tighten until it will move. If the weld breaks, do it again. You will have a better success rate than trying to hand drill a hardened stud while staying free of the threads. Even thinking about broken easy outs makes my head hurt.

I was coming off Monteagle east bound once, long before the last improvement. I don't know if you remember, but in sight of the bottom of the hill there used to be a cut with solid granite on both sides, just two lanes, and no way that you could have stuffed three trucks through at the same time. I was in the right lane, going slow, so that I could stop if I had to, when a freight truck blew by with the brakes smoking. The driver was giving me some kind of hell on the radio for holding him up. Go through the adjustment again. With the shoes as tight against the drum as you can adjust them, check the S cam to see how much ramp is left available. Then while watching, have someone step on the brake to see if it cams over.

It is not uncommon at all to have a slack adjuster fail in this manner. It would be uncommon to find that three or more had failed at the same time.

The Eaton synthetic will also run a lot cooler. Also, when choosing an engine oil, using an oil that is readily available anywhere, makes sense. Just in case, for some reason you have to add oil.
