A freind of mine at work has a four valve 300 set hot in a 66 r model.It has a air/air cooler on the front and i will look at it some more.I know the air/air is against the grille.

A few days ago out at the crusher shack were we hand when waiting on loads a driver called the battery man for new batterys. He connected 12 volt batterys in series on a N14. This man has sold batterys for years. he found the problem but the engine would no start. The driver knew me before i retired and come inside and got me to help. First thing we checked was the ecm fuse was blowed and now it will start. But the relays and i dont understand this but they were all froze to were they would not connect. But the battery man was shy of asking me what happened and the driver was not sharp enough to catch on hat had happen. But did say he cut him some slack on the price of batterys. I said to my self ever one need to be glad it didnt get a ecm.stuff happens i guess.

Rob only way the pto would bind the shift clutch is if the pto was under load. Two things come to mind. All make engine are not made freindly. I mean some will if you tach it against the governor will defuel some more than it should causing a efect of you backing out too quick and it hangs the shift with back pressure. I have one pump that is that way. I will change it out soon cause it is jacking off again.Some pumps are like driving a cummins and you can back out of it smoothly and get away from the back pressure on the shift.Another thing is the poppet springs can be too heavy.Play with them and grind a half of a coil off. Or lift the shifter and remove the spring on the rail that is a problem and go drive it with out the spring. Dont drop your balls inside.

Two or three years back a Tuflo 500 was about 340.00 here at a store that most guys buy their aftermarket parts and at that price why try to over haul a compressor. Its going to cost you 100.00 i think to bore it.Then the crank may need to be ground.

It should be a trunnion if its factory.

The air pressure in the tanks being some more than it was will not change the pressure going to the puff limit cyl on the pump.

It may have a bad crank dampener

That sounds like a AD4 drier which would be a problem with the purge valve letting turbo boost bleed out the bottom when it should be closed. Mine did it for a while and then stopped.

It is a auto shift with a converter instead of clutch.

I would hope so but i have my doubts about Barry also.

You could use a triplex if your a good hand with a truck.You start gouging on it and something will break. The rear box will bust the case or the imput shaft will snap at the oil pump plunger hole.You run them in o/d with big power and it will wear the bushing out of the main shaft gear.

It is limited in low gear and its for limiting the torque on the drive train. You will get full rack in upper gears. Sorry i should have been more detailed with the splaining.

Terry what year is that F model?I have had hundreds of those cabs up like your and the one with the jake also. cant remenber about the one with the jake but i think it unlocks itself on the mounts.Is your a single or tandem drive?

All of the macks that work with me have the puff limiter backed off or air taken off of them and they smoke so much. My engine has almost no smoke and it will be with them after the first 1/4 mile and non can under stand that smoke is not power.

That would be a big dogs dream wouldnt it.
