  1. The skin heads sure have let me down.I tought for years they were a bunch of rough guys but not any more. Then again they maybe the next attackers on DC.
  2. Driver you got it.
  3. Start over and make some changes here. The air come to the trans and has a valve on it that lets no air thru to the reversing relay when in lower gear.it gets its supply from the park park valve. Then the reversing relay valve on the intake manifold pressures the reversing relay with turbo boost when boost is up cutting the pressure from relay to the puff limit valve on front of injection pump. When the boost is low on the relay valve you have hi pressure to the puff limit valve blocking the rack from full rack. With hi boost the relay cuts the air to the puff limit valve and full rack is alowed. Also on a cold morning when park brakes is set the air to the trans low gear valve alows no pressure to the relay valve then the rack is not blocked so the engine can get some more rack for a more fuel for a faster start. There is no vacumm on the intake valve. The reversing relay valve lets more air to the pufflimit with no boost. It lets less air to the limit valve with hi boost. It reverse the action of trhe chassis air to the puff limit valve thru the relay valve. Hope that is clearer. glenn
  4. I am still looking for a jake brake or tecbrake set up for a E7 mechanical engine. glenn
  5. All of that sure inpresses me but that is only on paper. trythe real world for awhile.
  6. Good boy.
  7. I sure would like to see a photo of this engine. glenn
  8. Like ice road truckers. Some of it is real. some of it could be real. But only thing i want is to see Toney kick Dave in the cods.
  9. Guys its only a scrip written show so down get down on your self.
  10. I have been told two storys by eaton schools and cant say for sure what its for.But the 15 speed had a campain on installing them in the 70s on the 15 speed o/d trans. It was told to drip oil into the top counter shaft brg and also told to drip oil onto the O/D set of gears which is the two postion back where it could drip oil.I have a 9 speed mack T 2090 that leaks out of the tower around the stick. The breather is open and i run CL5 85/90 oil in it and am now wandering why it leaks or foams but not out of the breather.I add a qt ever month to it.

    WTF?

Your hear me say it before but again its end times.
  12. I guess it depends on what seal and how bad the seal is.
  13. Here is something to think about. That engine when built used a flat flange liner and most guys replaced them with the maxidyn liner that had a fire ring in it was well as a ring cut in the head. So i would think your going to have to pull heads first so you know what head gasket to order.
  14. Larry Carefull or your going to catch up with me on your rememoring.
  15. Larry i am going to correct you on the exsplanion of the oil holes. I know at one time you had it right but the center big hole comes direct up from the oil pump to the mount block. The two side holes go back from the oil filter to the oil galley just above the main brgs. The lower hole is the return from the by/pass filter part of the filter canster back to the sump.It will no longer be used with the screw on set up.The valve that is in th screw on head is only a filrer by/pass valve and it goes back to the two oil galley holes in the block.
  16. Go to make and buy a new cable.
  17. That is common for the head of the screw to wear down were the throdle arm rides on it.
  18. The front box is same on both trans. I remenber years ago we would just change the rear box to a two stick and get away from the air controls on the clutch that had some problems.
  19. It used a different alternator. The alter was 12 24 and the batterys was connected in a 24 circuit to start and the alter had a 12 volt tap on it that all acc was powered from.
  20. That not much info so try again. If it a duel wheel set up and is the two tires next to each other same size and is the question your asking the inside tire on one side or is it wearing the edge of one tire?
  21. We was 112 in Tulsa last week. First time that hot in my life.
  22. I helped a freind some time back replace his cam. He got one with a set of lifters from a place in little rock Ar that was reground. The lifters are refaced and then grounded. I think the cam was less than 400 dollars but i will be keeping that place in mind for later use.I work around this truck ever day and so for so good.
  23. Any of the tool trucks crry it and so does some of the dealers. You find them on ebay some times and i call them engine turning tool.
  24. I always wished for a B 75. I was working for mack dealer here when they were still in production. I could look at them all day.I got to drive one with a real driver for about three days hauling rocks and it had a triplex. That trans was so forgiving after you understood what it was.
