  1. A small tip on the drive line shop. Tell them it is a pto on you log splitter or other wise they or here will throw you out of the store. Libility But i have had them built before and always tell them its for me and my someting but no steer parts.
  2. Any of the 1200 or 1400 models starting with RTO or RTX
  3. I dont know bout the mack but cat cummins and DD have a temp sendor and it will compensate for the hotter fuel. In other words hotter the fuel the more the ecm allows to be injected making up for the hot fuel.Up to about 145 degrees. On the Vmac i am sure the fuel dont get near as hot as the fuel does like a cat or DD or cummins. The fuel return on them has a great return to the tank return a lot of heat with it.
  4. My superliner does the same thing. For two and half years its bounced some were and new tires did not do nothing for it. Drive line is perfect in line and balacned so i dont let it bother me. Its just a camel back ride to me.I have seen them ride good. But with daton wheels they are not always inline as good as they could be.
  5. Like done been stated pressure test the intake system in stead like some guys do by looking at it.Then also check the throdle linkage if its a manual pump for full throdle.
  6. I guess that would be the studs that have the cones in the axles also? The The stamp # in the banjo housing at the rear also tells the rating if you know how to read it.
  7. And after you make sure itr dont have a boost leak on the coller plumbing make sure that the hose from the intake to the air compressore is not leaking boost. The i would pull the exhaust and intake off of the turbo and look at both ends. Look at the exhaust wheel and make sure there is no tips bent of missing on the exhuast wheel.
  8. Does all three rear axles drive?
  9. The jake brake was made for a mack to shift going up a ramp. Cause thats all its good for.I use my ever day for shifting.
  10. One that i built or a freind built for me from a fuel management problem.
  11. In a groupe of say 50 drivers there is not more than maybe 5 guys that understand a mack engine trans or rear suppension like the campbell back ride.Good for alot of operations but a dump truck needs to be a mack. Most guys dont want to know nothen about them. Most guys want a pretty peterbilt cause their buddy has one and its so nice.My freind has a 6 axle dump truck and its got something wrong under it all the time. Some think air ride is the way to go but if its off road like we go campbell back does not tear up as bad.Use the neorprme pads on the springs and it will last longer.
  12. Sound like he just give one billion of chinas money way yesterday. Dont you know china is put out over that. I hope they invite him over there for a photo shoot.
  13. Is the 400 HP on the throdle or cruze only?Cat cummins and DD have choices.
  14. Dont know why Obama has not made a speech talking total credit for the drop in prices. 3.74 for diesel here all week. But i am sure Obama will take care of us.
  15. Rob i have seen those grease gun deals to years ago but ant seen one in 20 years. Dont try it on a elbo zert.
  16. That could be a F sleeper cause they did not have a side window and that could have been installed from a old timey sleeper. The side door looks like a F model side box
  17. What ever he gets its got to be a RTO something.
  18. For just alttle more money you can by cyl kits with new piston. It use to be that the labor it cost cleaning the old pistone would be more than the extrax cost of buying cyl kits instead of liner kits plus rings.
  19. A main brg cap.Look at it and question your self first do you want to do this along. May be better if you get some one to help you the first time.
  20. Remove and send to fuel shop for a repair. Me and most of us can not repair fuel pumps.
  21. I was afraid the tomatos would taste like rubber so i throwed them in a brush fire and burnt the tires off. She has them lined up down the drive way with plants in them.
  22. On a mack rod it is easy to burn the thrust side of the crank and rod if not done right. I aways snug up the rod bolts and then tap with a hammer the rod to one side withe cap and then you have all that is possible. Its best to replace the rod bolts on the later engines but the older rods i have not seen any problems with the bolts.
  23. Like been stated 150lbs but if you dont know make sure to get the rod cap and rod pushed over to one side before tighten so you end up with .007 or more side end play in the rod and cap against the crank.
  24. Some one on the news today said he is going to get to be with his 72 virgin boys soon.
