  1. You are correct i have put the T in the wrong place as wrong on the endt674
  2. Its a mack engine. The ENDT673 will have 18 head bolt studs which is 9/16 and a nut that a 7/8 shocket goes on it. It also does not have oil cooled pistons. The ENDT673a b and c is same block as the maxidyne and will have 20 head bolt studs or cap screws. They are 5/8 in size and a 15/16 shocket. will fit on the nuts. It also has oil cooled pistons. The END and ENDT 673 with 18 head bolts was same block but different from the A,B,C The early END 672 and 673 did not have a full flow oil filter but a partial flow by/pass 500 luberfiner. The ENDT 673 a b c was same block and heads as the 674 675 676 but ever new model has a improved something as all engines. Some guys say the first maxidyne had cap screw head bolts but i am sure i have seen them in the early years with studs and nuts.
  3. Or some one may have made a ENDT673 from a END673. I have done alot of them years ago. There was a ENDT 673 and a ENDT673A which was total two different engines. the A was a good engine and was same as a Maxidyne all but the governor.
  4. I saw it at the Tulsa KW dealer about 14 years ago.It was in gray primer then. And yes it is ugly but i guess he is in confort in there. He showed mw aound on the outside and ask if i would needed any more info. That has some wheel base to it.I think he is from Mo.It did win a ugly truck contest some were.
  5. For many years at work we had a over head lub system to add oil and grease to trucks. We i finished a engine i would leave the turbo suppy oil line off and connect it to the oil gun from over head and pump 10 gals of oil into the engine thru the turbo oil hose back to the engine. Tuen the engibe a few times as its pumping oil in to the engine and you see how much easy it turns when it gets oil.I have fitting made up for all engines.
  6. http://alumitank.com/fuel_tank_accessories.php This store can build them for you if need be.
  7. I think you could be dangerous if you had good sense. Thats a good one.
  8. Beats me but make sure and let us know when you find the problem.
  9. http://www.hillcrestcamshaft.com/Camshafts/main.htm A freind has used this shop for a mack cam and lifters.I was impressed with the work and you need to call them. They told him that they grind for a cat rebuilder maybe the factory.
  10. And for what ever it means to you i would not use a used one that i dont know about if they give it to me. a new one from mack is 327 dollars and worth the money to me. There is some after market balancers out there.Like done been said you can mic it by the mack instruction if you want to.But do not run the engine with that on the engine.
  11. Does this engine have dyntard cam and i am sure it does and if so which marks are you using on flywheel? On a dnytard the valves have to be set on the right mark.
  12. The cat house here has had some freightliners for a few years. I know as for back as when the 900 MB came out in the FL70s. I remenber going over to a body installer that was installing some equipment on the new trucks and one would not start. It drove in but would not start. The reader would not read the ecm.At that time when i was talking to the shop forman a welder was welding on one just like it next to it. They refused to understand beings they had done this hunreds of times before.
  13. Like Rob said. Also what trans you got makes some difference. I would be carefull with the 350 fuel setting if its only a 6 speed. But if a 9 or 10 speed then go for it. I would not go any more than the 350. Thanks Rob and Barry for getting me back on the site.
  14. So years from now when she comes in the bathroom and craps in front of you when yor shaving then you know the honeymoon is over.
  15. That is so mean that its funny and she will always remenber you.A woman needs something to remenber her guys by.
  16. Check yor fuel mpressure then you can start on a ideal. Needs around maybe 25 or better.and if that it bthen the supply pump valves or the over flow valve or sometimes called regulator check valve. A clear hose or sight glass would sure help.
  17. Also if not already done you should check for fuel in the oil. Take a samlpe and send in for the check.
  18. The slip may be out of time. But it should bind ever 1/2 turn if it is timing.
  19. So what caused that maybe water in the fuel?
  20. Rob that ball your talking about can be pressed out but you cant buy a new ball. My freind Alvie took one out of another arm and pressed it in and then welded it.I my self dont have the nerve to try somthing like that. That ball is pressed in and then swedeged over on the back side i would think its cause the factory dont want to weld it.
  21. They have to come out.
  22. The B or C never had a turbo. It was a end 864 but the ENDT cme out in 67 maybe late 66. It was a twin turbo. The first twin turbo as i was told that left the factory was in a F700.I rrmember very well the first one sold here. It was a different sound but had fuel pump problems until the V serials was released. The B615 was a END 864 with a very small oil pan for axle spacing.
  23. He may have though your who be hanging around in his way and he said to him self get rid of him now. Has he done work for you before? You did the right thing by saying no.Ihave had guys come out and want to help but was nothen but a drag and this is after you have priced the job. Nothen but a body standing between you and your tool box. Then some guys are a real help.
  24. Rob thats too much information.
