  1. I set mine to all speed and i have not found any difference yet.I may have to set it back and watch for any difference a few times but the response has not changed to me.I do know it started faster this morning.
  2. I went to the shop and found that mine and connected it up and i found the info in governor information.Mine was set at min/max and i set it to all speed not know what that means.I know what other engines means when you set it to VSG.I will know if this helps any in the response.
  3. I have a pro link and the VMAC 11 card but i can not remember seeing that but will go and connect it up sun eveing and let you know.
  4. Tuning & Modules | Diesel Injectors | Turbos | Nozzle Honing (rochesterdiesel.com) I am using one and it has more response
  5. Back maybe 30 years ago i got some ear phones from radio shack that had a small mic on a cord about 5 ft long.It was good for finding air leaks behind the dash cause you could put the mic up in the dash and search for the loud hissing sound of air.I have never seen one of them after that.
  6. That is a pressure protection valve.
  7. The word Thermodyne can cover many different model engines so yes and no as for as being same block.
  8. As for as using soap and water in a spray bottle i years ago used propane leak detector fluid. It was sold at any propane dealer and the good thing about it was you could spray just a small amount on the suspected leak and for a hour later it would be making large bubbles.
  9. Sorry to hear this Tommy
  10. About ever 6 months i have to clean my low coolant sensor or it will think its low on coolant.I use steel wool and wipe the tip clean and all is well.
  11. On the truck i have which is a VMAC 2 it for two years would miss or mis fire or sound like a back fire maybe on one cylinder and shake the truck good.I never saw a light come or a code come up.I would do this maybe once a week but about two weeks ago my voltmeter begine to drop voltage.I put a alternator on from one of the other truck but still low voltage. Then i started to check the alt wires and the ground below the starter with the 5/8 bolt on the wires to the block look a bit loose so i remove bolt and cleaned ever thing and now the voltage is up and also no mis fire sound. That been three weeks ago so i think the engine harness grounds to the block there.
  12. Rob if you put a turbo on a 673 one thing you need to do is remover the fuel pump and replace the syncrovance and install a direct drive on the pump and set timing to 28.Mack sure the air cleaner is larger and there is a adapter that goees in between the compressor and block for the turbo return oil to go in.Both of the parts may be hard to find. The set the rack out about two rounds.
  13. To use plastic gauge make sure and jack the weight of the crank up or support the weight of the crank some way or you will get a false reading on the mains. This is not uncommon.
  14. Yes the lift pump has to hold the prime and on some pumps the check valve in the return port of the pump will hold the prime or help but like the CH i am running it has no check valve in the return but has a orfice fitting so go figure.
  15. I hate to hear this and will pray for you.
  16. I did not get it
  17. So many things it could be
  18. I had a crack drum making a noise a few months ago.

  20. I run a mack 18 speed and i wish it was a eaton because the eaton shifts better and is cheaper to work on.
  21. What ever pump you use make sure the gear teeth count is same as old pump
  22. I have seen the steer axle applied by the trailer hand valve connected inline by a two way check valve which is easy to find. This way your steer axle brakes can be applied normal or by hand. A double shuttle check valve would be the correct term for the valve
  23. I dont think i need that shot after all.
  24. Just like Mike stated.I was sent one night down at the edge of Ark. to pull a rad from a B61 all by my self. And i did.It was the one that you unbolt the head light panel from the fender to get the shell off.The problem with this is it was one of five trucks Texaco oil owned but it was older than the others. When i got the rad out it looked as some said been in a wreck. The service manager had not seen one of these and being a young guy he takes it out on me for tearing the front up.He say he didnt want me to be the one who puts it back in.I tell him good cause I hurt my back taken it out He came and made things good with me a few days later after two other guys go down there in the day light hours and installed the repaired one.Best i remember it was pumping gas in a tank when the rad started to leak or they would have got a wrecker. This was in the mid 60s so they did thing different them.I went up on the turn pike one night and changed a water pump on a H model with the cab jack messed up.I got it half way up and no way to block it up.Soild ice on the road but i did a lot of the work under the engine laying on ice. This is what you have to do when your working for a want to be forman
  25. On top of that our dealer and dont blame them uses alot of after market parts. In most cases you have to ask for what brand you want.
