  1. I had heard that those engines had same block but no one knew for sure. When I first started to work for the dealer here they were many Scania Vabis engines in some B models and that was in 1965. I think all I saw with that engine was some mixers. It had the first centrifugal oil filter that I ever saw.
  2. I too advice not to use wireless. We in this area which is rural have had break ins in the day time.My wife is a stay home woman and have had a young man come two times just to knock on the door and to look around. She does not go to the door unless she knows them and has a hand gun in ever room so if some one breaks in i have told her just hide with a gun and when they come thru the door just start pulling the trigger.I to believe ever one with good sense should have guns at their reach but it also puts more arms out there for no goods. It just the signs of the times we are in. If I was buying cameral again again I would use a security company that has ben around to install them.i have wirless and on night some on stole a battery from in front of the shop and it just so happens that night a spider decides to build a web over the lens of that cameral and the light reflecting on the web hide what I wanted to see.I know a man that has a single cameral system on a maybe 100 foot tower which is a syatem that rotates all the time and will stop a movement and zoom in and follow it but it was about 6000.00 8 years ago.
  3. If its for sale show some photos and wheel base.
  4. On the E7 the crank don't us a ball for location but uses a v shaped dowell and I have seen it taken out for some reason. On truck one I purchased a truck a couple years back from the dealer here that was not running. The engine was a rebuilt and the machin shop plugd the lower oil return from the advance and it did same thing. It would start but would go nuts on timing. It also had bent push rods and had set for four years after that. When I pulled the valve covers you still could smell starting fluid. The cam to the crank was out of time and the timing gear on the cam was loose. changed the cam and gears and half of the push tubes and it was a good engine after that.I could not press the cam gear off of the cam so I think it had sliped but why unless the rpm went too high trying to start it of either. On your truck one it has a dynatard cam and some people don't know how to set the over head.
  5. And no throttle linkage to pump.
  6. Did he not die a few weeks ago?
  7. When I think more about it I cant remember them my self. The first I remember working on here for roadway was fleetstar IHC 2000 with cummins and B67 with 711 engines.
  8. I remember in 67 and 68 I saw a lot of macks come in at the mack dealer here with Detroits and also the 1674 and cummins also.
  9. If it was me I would start with asking your helper if he install the o/rings.
  10. I am thinking cummins had a 11/16 but its been awhile.
  11. I try to not to thank the Lord for what he does as much as what he kelp from happening.I was having a virbration all day thrusday in my truck and did not have time to worry. We was hauling asphalt to the turn pike job. When we got done for the day I raised the bed and took a look at the drive line and saw a Ujoint cap almost out of the yoke. The two bolts were there but almost out. That would have been a ugly day if the joint came out.
  12. If this is not what you want to hear then don't read this thread no more/Too many people enjoy our freedom but will not lend a finder to keep it.Also for as talking about Gods word that is a commandment from the Lord to go forth and spread his word. Are you against that also?
  13. I put air assist on mine and its all you need.
  14. Yes one man job so don't worry.
  15. Many tanker yankers years ago carried a fitting that would connect to the pipes on the tanker and would drain jet fuel or diesel into their tanks on the tractor. That was the reason for hauling fuel at night.
  16. I remember the B models having a generator that the pump mounted on the end of it.
  17. I have seen 20/30 on mack also/
  18. Troy I forgot to say the mack engine you have will be a low horse power been in a mixer and it a two valve 11 liter engine. If you ever have to replace it go with a 4 valve E7 mechanical 400.
  19. There may be a different piston between the two and also check nd see if the exhaust valves are not different and if so the dynatard can not be used with the 96 engine.
  20. Any time a mack has set for some years the rack in the pump can become frozen and can be a problem.I always check to see if I can move the rack before starting.
  21. I would replace with a later engine. The air cleaner will need to be larger also.
  22. An another thing about thr road is there are too many signs to read and drive safety with the amount of traffic we have in a construction site.I think also there is a lot of lower IQ people in trucks now.I know I work with some. But at the end of the day I say thank you Lord keeping me alive.I have been hauling on the Turnpike construction for over a year and I cant get over what you see for drivers. Our turnpike is narrowed down to two loanes now and I see some truckers that what I think is almost blind because they take up more than their half.I lost a motor mirror due to that and it cost me over 400 dollars for a new one.
