  1. What is happening is the cut off valve is not cutting off in the drier.I had one same way and I could hear it but dont think it was losing that much boost.
  2. If the dryer is over two years old then just exchange it.
  3. Funk conversions did some kits for the V8.Some had a flat head and some could have a 6 cylinder ford engine.

It depends on how much cooler.I am guessing that your using a temp gun and checking temps at idle.Checking on the exhaust.50 degrees on a cold manifold may not be meanfull.The center will get hotter any way than the ones on the ends .The is better ways of checking for a bad injector.We dont know what engine you have.Also a set of injector or fuel pump may not fire all even at idle and on top of that its not making power at idle.Were you want the injectors balanced out is at full fuel mode.On a mack with a injector and injection pump you canloosen the lines one at a time at the injection pump and check the difference.Later engines need a reader to do a cylinder cut out test.
  9. You can do damage to you engine with the plate that is in there by sliding it in the wrong place.

  12. A KT in a dump truck is too heavy for around here.
  13. First you need to read the ecm codes.Then go from there.It could be low voltage to the ecm.Sometimes a hot engine is harder to turn than a cool engine and pulls the voltage too low.Only way to check it is get some one to check the ecm voltage when cranking and hot.

  15. Many things it can be.Just to name a few is maybe a valve has cracked or burnt or a cam go down or maybe a bad injector or a bad cam in the injection pump.Or a burnt piston.
  16. And if its got a wear ring i use a torch and heat a spot on the ring just a small amount then pry on it with a screw driver to lossen it.Just dont blow it with the torch and no more heat than a few seconds.Now you need a installer.
  17. Like already been stated if that is a maxidyne engine thena 13speed will make the engine feel real weak at top RPM. That engine gets its torque at 1200 and with a 13 speed most guys want to get the RPM up as high as they can were there is no torque

  21. If you found a valve retainer then the Wush wush sound you hear is a valve dropped or burnt so i would pull exhaust manifold off of heads and plug the oil supply line and start it and see what you hear.Then decide were your going to take it for a rebuild.
  22. If you afraid some one is going to lie to you then pull the drain plug and take a look at what comes out other than oil.
  23. What color you want? I have a flat top white in color and i have never checked to see how long but i think 48 inche.I am going to put a day cab kit on it so all unframe will go with it.
