  1. I am some slow so tell me what you say some more.3Mpanel bond.Is that saying its glued on instead of welding?I know there is some good stuff out there.

Ok i understand how hyd works bigger and litte pistons but with a limit of the pedal travel its almost got to be one for one with out changing the travel ratio on the clutch arm.On cars and pickupsits a good thing cause you can keep a zero amount of free travel and not adjust it but to make it easy to push you now have to increase the pedal travel.I remenber when the busness class freightliner came out with the choice of manual or hyd clutch and some had a problem with the hyd and i dont remenber what it was. But on warranty you could change over to a manual linkage and the pressure was no different.I never did change one over so dont know what it was about but do think it takes a longer travel for a less pressure on the hyd clutch.What you say?
  4. I want to hear more bout hyd clutches. I never did understand the purpose other than getting away from the linkage.
  5. I inframed a ISC one time and it would dosame thing.I did not find it until I drove it maybe two hours.It had a valve guild that was just a small amount tight.
  6. No you cant drill a new hole.You need to change the supply pump.
  7. Sounds like a binding rack.Like been said load it up with fuel adtive.
  8. Just heat and bend a box end wrench.
  9. Check the trans rear yoke nut and see if its not loose.

If you knew some one who could pull the triplex down I would say that they find the mainshaft gears have worn bushing in the gears and the countershafts have taper roller brgs which you will find has too much end play.Why do I know this is cause about all of them i have been into or seen tore down was that way.The main shaft gears have a presed in and then rolled bushing that ride on the main shaft.That is why they will not take much torque.The front counter shaft has a roller brg front and rear and the rear brg slides in the rear of the front caseandinto the front of the rear case.It is the front racefor the rear counter and the rear brg retainer has shims under it.Way you set the end play is remove a pto cover on the case and pry the counter shaft front to rear checking end play.

Same way here that makes me sick looking at a good truck like that.When something like that happens to me I always so for have said to my self that it could have been worstSome times we cant see that as right now but I think that is so.I run almost all my mile in the city and more that once ever day some one trys that same thing on me and most of the time its to do with a stupid phone.I hate seeing a phone stuck up to the side of a womans head.It has gotten so bad that it worries me and I am afraid to take my eyes off of the road in front of me.I start out ever moring saying to my self that some one wants to kill me.

  14. The timing need check or retimed ever time its pulled from the engine.One reason you don't know who tried to time it last.And if you did then you know how easy it is to be off.Yes it will fire and run with out checking it but timing is very important.

Back in the mid 70s I had a moonraker six beam and I was running the white face Johnson pushing the XL1000 varmint.On fri and sat nights us that belong to a radio club here would stay up all night or after midnight I should say because you would put new programs on them.One night a friend of mine talked to some one who wanted to come vist him next day and next day was sat when a FFC inspector came in.He had to go to court to keep out of jail.
  17. no what you should do is get it of and send it to a pump shop.If your like most of us you don't have the parts or equipment to do pump repairs.

To remove the brake drum you would need to remover the wheel brg nuts and slide the hub off the axle tube.Then look inside and you will see the bolts that hold the drum on to the gub.Just remove the six bolts and drum drops off.As for as blue smoke on start up that is not all that uncommon but timing needs checked as well as injectors need removed and pop tested.It sepends on how bad the smoke is but it also could be due to low compression which means it about wore out and due for some overhauling.
  21. Sounds like its idling off of the linkage being not able to return all the way.Check the lever on the governor and see that it returns against the idle stop crew an has some movement to spare.If its not against the cab then it needs to come off for the governor repairs.
  22. But it takes about 30 seconds for a low oil pressure event to go active.
  23. A DDEC does not have to see oil pressure to start and oil pressure has nothing to do with the starter.
