  1. Start with connecting a good pressure gauge and a long hose up to the fuel system and take it down the road maybe loaded and watch the fuel pressure then come back and tell us what you see.
  2. Contact Freightrain for this info and he has photos of his conversion. He is on this forum
  3. I tought of that the other day but then I said that was a cummins that did that, so I never said any thing.I don't remember so good any more but did mack ever do this?
  4. The water pump is were the heater needs to return to cause that is the suction side of the pump.Any thing on the block or manifold will be pressure to the heater.
  5. Why would the heads be different?
  6. The best way to check and see if each pump is pumping is get another fuel injector line and connect it tro the pump with a injector connected to the other end.Hold it up some way out and crank over watching the injector spray.Do each one that way.Cracking a injector line does not tell you much as you have already found out.
  7. In okla dump trucks is kicked off of a job if they did not have a back up beeper.About three years ago on a I44 road job there was a dump tuck backing up to the job site nd ran over a woman that the driver did not see and killed her. This woman was a safety inspector for the construction co doing that job.She was bent down looking into a hole in the ground and did not see the truck.I believe with all of the noise around a job tat you can get use to the beeps and not mean nothing to you after years of hearing them.I know some times you can be sitting still and hear three or four beepers going from different directions. So beepers are good some. Now the state makes all dump trucks to have a back up light and some jobs will not let them on if not installed and working. It just proves that you do not have another minute promised her in this life.
  8. Its a joke guys
  9. Come on Barry, cant you make a call to the white house for us.
  10. If its a mack trans it has a seal that you will burn.If its a eaton tghen there is no seal.
  11. I can now copy and paste
  12. Larry was the clutch disc that came out of your old engine solid hub or was it a spring dampened disc.I remember old timers telling us the disc had to be spring dampened.
  13. But like been said if its got 500000 miles on it change it just for the fun of it.
  14. But if its still under warranty you need to ask before you add dye.Sanden will not pay a claim if you send in a compressor with dye in it.
  15. That clamp being left off is just like guys adjusting their or some one elses clutch and leaving the dust cover off.Laszy
  16. Post were we can see them.
  17. I like this new forum.fjh I was referring to two cams like a E6 is different than a E7.Yes I had a E6 in the truck that I run now and it had a dynotard then I replaced it with a 680A jake so it will work that way.But I don't know about a 680B on a E6The only thing I would be concerned about is the timing on the E6 to E7.Lift would be I think the same.I have played with the jake on this engine I have now which is a E7 and I don't get much more that a noise. It good to see you on here I have not see you much
  18. Your dealing with two different cam shafts so consider that.
  19. You need a 680A model and yes they are different than a E7
  20. RED are you talking about the hand primer that you want to replace or the transfere that bolts to the side of the injection pump? The hand primer can leak down also but so can the fuel pump bolted to the side of the injection pump.PAI is good parts.
  21. Talking about pickups and cars in the way is like we have ever day working in town on a city street job.You can have a load of rock needing to b dumped in a hole that is holding up the job and they will always be a white pickup setting in the way.It will be a inspector or a job forman.I have blowed my horn to get them to move and they will go around the block and get in some one else way.
  22. Some one would have to be silly to believe any thing he says.
  23. You turned it up when you installed larger injectors. With that boost I would say you need to stop right there.
  24. That is not true. For years we have know that the valves in the lift pump leaks down the fuel and you no start.
