    Cummins would be a good engine if you would have the fuel pump changed to a varibable speed governor.The road governor like a truck uses would not be good at holding the speed constant.

    Cummins will tell you about the fram.I am speaking of the 5.9 engine and back years ago I found out that they will not pay a warrant claim if the filter was any part of the problem.One problem that the 5.9 had was when using a fram oil filter some times they would come apart and then the oil takes part of the filter with it.Some times it would stop the oil flow on a piston cooler nozzle skinning a piston.

    With those codes the ecm has been disconnected with ign own.

    B models had the motor under the dash but later B models used a motor on the fire wall like a R model.

    This truck is for sale.It has a 350 HP 9 speed mack air ride with mack rears new right fuel tank with oil in one end and fuel in one end for wet kit.Cold a/c I can get more photos if need and pm me and I can give phone number to call me 17000.00 this is a VMAC11 engine.

    Drive one for some one else a few months and find out how much money they ant making.Also the day when you could run over on your logs is about over with.

    Let me tell you what I have seen two times.One E6 engine had a miss that came in it over two months of time.It final got to a dead miss.The owner told him to inframe it and that's what he did.He did the pump and injectors and checked the cam when he was in it.He called me one sunday evening asking me about it and I told him yes I saw it years ago same thing.So he got a old fuel injector line off of me and changed it and that was it.I guess it was stopped up cause he say he could not blow air thru it.

    Pull rear box off and look at it.

    The only good way to know is to get some one to monitor the ecm and that will show you what switches are seeing.Other wise you can only guess and replace parts.You have a brke light switch and two cruz switches on dash also.

    If you cant stop a 3406 from leaking oil then you need to take it to a different mechanic or don't work on it your self it that's what going on.

    The two line by/pass oil filter engine should have a oil pan with a screen in the bottom that can stop up and hold the pressure down.The screen can be pulled out thru the bottom thru a removeable cover about 8" in dia.
