  1. I still cant find any one that voted for the crackhead.
  2. But I had forgot how nasty lucas is when you tear a engine down. You just cant get if off your hands with out washing them.I pulled my engine apart a few months ago and had forgot about it.I run 1/2 gal to 7 gal of oil and it makes jakes work some better. But it ant going to do a overhaul if that is what your trying to dodge.
  3. That's the way I run until I warm up I amt good for nothen.
  4. Here Texaco oil had I think 5 GMC with that engine. I worked nights then at freigfhtliner and I had most of them saved for me to tune up and I think they needed that done ever two months. The firing order and plug wiring was done like two inline six cyl side by side and they had two dist caps running off of one dist. They also had some autocars with 250 cummins and the drivers claimed they would run with the 250 cummins in the hills but would run faster on flat land.I think I remember them turning 3100 rpm but do know they had a tamper proff governor. It wa vacummin and if you disconnected itit would only idle and the weights for the governor was in the oil pan on the oil pump. They had a single one piece block and crank but four heads. In 1966 the mack dealer here built 5 or maybe more F model cab over mack from scratch with that engine as power.Ten speed roadranger trans with SQHL on Henderson springs.
  5. Thanks and keep the info coming.Photos to
  6. Please keep us posted on how it holds up.If you can do it I may try it to.
  7. I respect anyone who want to better him self and family. So many give up a grab a card board box and cut out a sign to set on the corner.Good luck.
  8. Also the injector lines are different also. And they need to be changed before you reinstall the injection pump. This makes them easy to change.
  9. Ok here is the only rebuilt E7 400 pump that mack rebuilt application guide shows. 313gc5185p6x.This is a P7100 robert bosch
  10. You need to know what pistons is in the engine now and what turbo. And what HP it was when came from factory. Then I can give you a pump # for that set up to build a mechanical engine.
  11. Cap it and it want leak.
  12. I don't think you guys understand whats going on,First he is just making fun of the working man and second he is a evil sprited driven antichrist person and may I should have said also he is very ungodly.
  13. Get some brake clean and wash. Then drive it a few miles and get out and look.
  14. That is the way I have mine set and no smoke.A little lazy on take off but it don't hurt the power.
  15. Yes and a lot of bad info on here.
  16. A dump can use a single or two line set up but is best to use two lines to the tank.A RGN will need a two line to the tank for sure.
  17. Sounds like its time to lift a valve cover
  18. 3.29 for diesel in Tulsa for a month
  19. Like said worth taking to spring shop. The u/bolts need replaced and they tighten to around 1500 to 1600 ft lbs and that needs to be done with a multiplyer.
  20. Second wire is ground. Me and my self like the rebuilt bendix brand but you can buy new aftermarket look alike cheaper than the bendix.
  21. The AD9 will work in same bracket and connect same way as the AD4, however you will need to use a two wire connecter to the heater elemet were the AD4 use one wire.
  22. If the wet tank is dropping pressure too fast it can be the check valve I was talking about in the drier. It will leak back thru and out the purge valve when open.
  23. Yes a bad unloader valve can drain the wet tank cause there is no check valve between them like there was years ago.
  24. Another thing that make the drier there purge too often is if the check valve in the drier is leaking draining the wet tank.On the mack like all trucks the air governor gets its air supply from the wet tank.So if the check valve on the drier is leaking back thru the open purge valve in the dreir the pressure drops on the wet tank and then the governor will engage the comp to charge up the wet tank again so it can lose pressure too soon and same old thing over and over. The 88 mack came out with a AD4 which had a plactic flpper check valve inside but the two wire AD9 which will go in the same brackets will have a out side screw in valve on the bottom which can be changed with out a tear down.
