  1. If all fails you could use a hold down and cut some grooves in the thread and make a thread chaser.
  2. Did some on cross thread a hold down?
  3. It will be same a end 673.I believe this cooler if I remember has a o/ring seal at the end that can leak.I would pull it down and check it and if its got o/rings that are hard then that could be all you need.
  4. Ron I don't remember and may have never did know that.I do remember a long wrench we used and have adjusted the pressure plate many times when you found the ring was not tracking straight.
  5. Thoses six adjusting screws is to adjust the clutch when its rebuilt. But if anytime your under there and you see the ring that is attached to the end of the finders is not straight that means one finder is out of adjustment with the others. It should not be that way but some times it happens. So you can adjust the screws to set the end of the finders same height so the ring will track straight. This will stop some of the grinding when you try the release clutch. If one finder is low it lets part of the pressure plate drag the clutch plat so get then all adjusted same height. They are not for taking care of clutch disc wear. The single plate clutch did not use wear shims between the pressure plate and flywheel but the two plate did.
  6. Steam and smoke gets mixed up sometims and steam is coolant in the oil.
  7. What trans do you have? I did the same thing but have some heat problems.
  8. Some push type clutch did have the counter shaft brake but I think only on the two plate push type.
  9. A lot of guys get mixed up trying to adjust the valves on a mack with the dynotard cam.It has a special cut ram on the exhaust lobe that can fool some.
  10. From what i understand they grind all of the hard surface off of the lifter and lay a new face back on it.
  11. I can not copy and paste here for some reason but search for hillcrest cam grinding in little rock ark.I know some one who uses them and I have installd one cam for a friend from them. They can grind your own and plus reface your lifters.
  12. You cant believe ever thing you read on here.
  13. And I never did see a 400 manual. And all of my tune up manuals has non listed.
  14. The other parts that have a fiber bushing on it is the end off of the aluminum torque arms from the back of a freightliner.
  15. If Obama gets hi way all of the coal buckets will be for sale.
  16. Ridewell sells kits to use front steer axle.
  17. Other dog I set in a truck seat all time. 10 a day in a truck and I have a new truck seat here in my bed room at my desk. Its better that any thing else I could get to go in there.I have a electric air compressor next to it and arm rest on both sides.
  18. I saw a R700 one time with a 3208 in it but may have been a implant. That was years ago when the oil field work was still here ever where. This was a rigup truck.
  19. A injector can cause a miss on one cyl but if it lopes or hunts or as some say jacks it self off then its the governor or a hanging rack.A hunt or lope is when the governor rolls up and down and a miss is something you can hear if you go out there and loosen a injector line.
  20. You would want to extend the fuel rack out some so it will have some more fuel.
  21. It would have to be a custom built cooler and I have looked into it for a friend. But I think you could do good by using a tip turbin from a 320 or 350 engine which has the water cooler in the box with the air cooler.I would start with calling global truck salavage for the parts. The air to air would have to have the tubes run thru all of the metal work on the front to get to the engine. Some one built one and installed it behind the rad but I think that is no good.
  22. Your tires still need to very close in size.
  23. You don't have enough info here but if its a older 13 speed like a RTO then its sounds like a broken quill shaft and that's from a bad drive line virbration.
  24. That sounds to be in trans but you don't say what trans model. Some more info could help.
