  1. temporary, your right I like that.
  2. many times I have found boost leaks that someone else failed all due not pressuring the system up to the heads. If you pressure it to the heads you can turn the engine slow and seal the flow on all cylinders at one time at some point. May be exhaust closed on one cyl and intake close on another but this is true with all brand engines.Never blowed a stem seal yet.You can catch a lot of things by monitoring the system while driving.

  4. Like kscarbel just said,no problem.
  5. yes they were used in the 80s.
  6. Like Staxx just said test don't guess.
  7. How did you come up with the ideal that the clutch got out of adjustment while setting?Your now going to have to adjust it back like it was to find out when it is working. Like been said its sounds as if the disc is stuck to the pressure plate. It it will not move any in any gear then there is air problem and back box is out of gear.
  8. Low inertia is talking about the spinging mass of gears that that splitter has to snycronize when its shifted.I has the same weight and number of gears turning as any trans so it has noting to do with robbing power. That is also a myth about how mack rates their HP.Its done on a engine dnyno like any engine.Years ago the wheel dnyno would rob about 22% from the engine rating depending on ratios of drive train and rubber plus single or twin screw.Better grease and modern gearing may help that out some.
  9. Summer time 200 is good.Better than running 180 all time.
  10. that's right.
  11. You need to talk to a shop who rebuilds heads and you may find the seal will be easy to find. But the guides my be worn out also.
  12. If you will leave the engine along it will run for ever.98 could be a VMAC11 or ETEC
  13. I am one fingered one handed old man for a few weeks and just spent 15 min hammering out a post and hitting the wrong key and watched my post go away. One handed because I broke a wrist a week ago and a patch up job done this morning. All is good but will be on the internet more for next 6 weeks. Speaking of the RTO,yes you can flip the gears but your not going to like it.There is difference in a home built rto and factory rto.My self and many other guys have did this for different reasons. The reason I remember was in the 220.250, and 238 days there was many guys that updated their hp and added a turbo for more power. Now they need more speed and cheapest way was make home built rto by flipping top two gears on main shaft. With the low torqe rise engines that is in most cases too much spread in the rpm. With todays hi/torque rise engines that spread will not be so bad.I have did lots of these trans that and also the 9513
  14. That is enough
  15. From the factory the main shaft was hollow.Later the trans got a solid main shaft and then was designated as a RT9510.If the main shaft has been replaced since new it will have the solid shaft in it..
  16. yes it will but that trans is limited on its torque.I think the bolt pattern will be same even on the E7.When you start mashing on your motor hard the bushing in the top gears on the main shaft would wera fast. And if your not carefull when you let the clutch out with a hitorque engine the clutch imput shaft will break at the oil pump bore in the shaft.Even tho that trans was used behind the twin turbo 864 the torque may be larger on some of the six cylinder engines of later years. If it is being used for a work truck I would want a twin counter shaft trans.
  17. Yes the quad or triplex or duplex will bolt up to the flywheel housing but then you have to have the proper bell housing on the trans so you can use the pull type clutch or use a push type clutch with the old 673 flywheel. I need to change my mind on my statement above. I cant remember ever using a pull type clutch on a Quad.If I remember right you will have to use the push tupe clutch and flywheel and for a brake the Quad will have a brake on the end of the lower counter shaft. So I am saying you will have to use the flywheel from a older 673.
  18. what ever you do and if you pull the engine don't hurt the oil pan cause one from a F model is different.
  19. What ever you do when you pull the engine take care of the pan cause it would be hard to fing being its in B model. It was different than one in a F model.
  20. Be glad its a E9 and not a 864 or 865.
  21. Make sure the air bag hright is set as it should be.You cant be off very much or damage will happen..
  22. The Bibeau in the simi/round bottom is a good bed a friend has one and its older than my round Davis and his has no dents. I have a few small ones but I have had two loads of 36" on.The round bottom Bibeau has a lot of support on the bottom that is covering a large area of the bottom and next time you see one in the air check it out.
  23. I would have starved to death if deer was not around our ranch when I was a kid.We had control hunting back 50 years ago. We only killed the young ones that is if they were out in front of their mommy.
