  1. Now your catching on how this crooked goverment works.
  2. Check with Phil Dirt here on the forum for jake brakes or any engine parts for your engine. glenn
  3. I have one that is 45 years old but the spring is broke and just for fun i ask the mac tool man if it was still under warranty. It took about 5 weeks but mac told him it was not ever sold by them.I tryed to use it when i was young but could bot see no reason.
  4. Start were you left off and start pulling drums and you will find it. Which one? i dont know but sounds like the first one to me.
  5. I have used many reman clutch and not all of then fron eaton. The main problem with clutches is many drivers dont know when to adjust and when to grease them. Then they come in a year later and its never had grease in them.
  6. True

  8. Dont forget he has sniches ever were and they will be glad to tell on you.And ever thing you say is true.
  9. It can happen to any engine. Antfrezze will eat brgsand water is bad enough but antifrezze is a killer. Any time antifreeze has been in the oil it is good insurance to change the brgs. I always said to check them and if you check all you as well to go change them when they are down. glenn
  10. The jake brake from a older 673 would be same and i cant remenber the model.I think it is older model than 675 but dont remenber off hand. Not a 237 because the cam is different.
  11. I dont remenber ever seeing the tach drive pump or have forgot. I remenber two different rotery style pumps used in the pass and one was rostmaster and one was the PSJ so that may be were the tach drive pump was used. The ones i remenber used a stewart warner electric gas pump to push fuel at lest to the engine.
  12. If it is a inline fuel pump it will have a lift pump on the out side lower towards the front operarted from the injection pump cam. If it is a rostamaster round rotor pump that was not used much then yes you need a electrial pump to push fuel to the injection pump. But again you need a bout 30 psi to the inline pump and that is under power. glenn
  13. Like Staxx has said but when done checking i would check fuel pressure to the injection pump inlet fitting and you need some were around 30 psi. I made a tee out of a # 6 swivel and male fitting and taped a thread in the side of the fitting to connect a hose and gauge. I done this 45 years ago and have still got the same fitting and it has been loaned out to coustomers many times. The check valve can be check easy with out the pressure gauge by using some vise grips on the fuel return hose to the tank. Mash it almost closed and see if it runs any better. But who knows it may have a pluged line like mine did a few weeks ago. I found a hard shell bug in the supply like next to the primary fuel filter that had fell in the fuel tank when fueling. glenn
  14. About 3000.00 with engine and trans would be a high price with the cab damage but you will find that out.
  15. Now i know who took my dog so yes you should how problems sleeping.
  16. While we are talking fuel lines why is it so hard any more to keep the line to injector connection from leaking ?I dont work on them anymore other than mine but have had a few guys call me asking after replaing with rebuilt injectors. A freind ask me about a year ago that and he was replace the line two times each trying stop the leak and on one inector never got it stop and took it to the dealer were it was a big deal to stop.I think they even replaced the injectors again.
  17. I all of my years working on trucks i never saw a fuel line blocked untill last year. A freind of mine one sunday came up and found a # 5 fuel line he need to check his with .Sure enough his line was blocked. He ask me how that can happen and i say it has to have metal faking off of the inside of the line doing it cause they have not done any thingb to the pump and its been over a year woring every day.
  18. If your in warm climate then run 30W or 15W 40 is ok. The oil filter is mack# 236GB311A Dont remenber the fuel filter#4 gal of antifreze would be engough for yor state.
  19. Yes because all of the acc are running on 12 volts any way. It starts on 24 but is charging the batterys with 12 volts. When you change starters make sure the starter drive has same count of teeth on the drive. glenn
  20. I dont think the people is supid as we may think, its just that so many is on the take like you name it you can get it for free if you so much want to and they may be the ones who will vote for that spook. We owe our children if not our selfes more than our dad and mom give us.What if they had taken every thing free that is offered just to vote for him.
  21. Sounds like some eletric is leaking out of something and getting mixed with the conutor switch and its trying to run backwards.
  22. Starter and a primary relay plus find out if its pos or neg ground and wire that way. Remenber when you go from 24 to 12 you need more amps or bigger cables. No less than 00 in size and a pair of them per set of batteys. And after i think that you have a button for start so no primary relay will be needed. If its got a alter make sure you have your ducks lined up before you start the flashing of reverse polarty to the alter.glenn
  23. Alot of old mack mechanics when i was working for mack tought you had to set them running but that was not so. Mac tools at that time made a spring loaded jumping screw driver just for that. And on top of that a feeler gauge didnt last long. I have did it also.
  24. Get real guys.
