  1. I have did it and only thing i run into was the exhaust manifold was mounting the turbo in wrong place but we made it work. The E7 will have a 5 " exhaust. The clutch will be pull on both engines. The power steering pump may be located on the front instead the rear of the comp but that is ok to.
  2. Those studs or any studs can nbe custom built but only thing is i have forgot were. I guess you could goggle for studs. Be care with what kind of stud you come up with some of them may want to move in with you and stay with your GF.
  3. The first 711 had 3/4 in the corner and later had 20 5/8 in all
  4. The head bolts or studs in the 237 and 285 will be 5/8 studs.
  5. Let me tell you what i would do. This is the way we did them back when thoses trucks was on the road ever day. You should replace both gaskests any ay. Remove hood and cross bars from hood to rad cowl. Now dont remove the exhaust or intake manifold and pull both to together.A small chain attached to the middle rocker hold bolt on each head will balance good. And remove each stud and clean and then screw in hand tight only. When you tighten the head bolts then loosen the exhaust stud so it will not put the manifold in a bind.
  6. That has to be checked by a alignment so no way any one can tell you what you need. That will set the caster on front axle.
  7. Some times you just have to take it to the dealer. When the dealer throw parts at it the coustomer gets mad but i have seen customers throw parts at the truck for hundreds of dollars and then give up and take it in and get a repair. Some things is too hard to troubleshoot with out the knowage and equipment. glenn
  8. I would never take the two speeds out.
  9. What kind of rears are they like eatons?
  10. Would you please keep us posted and tell us how your doing on the change over.
  11. I should have been more specific with you. You dont have the understanding enough and that is not derating you to trouble shoot it with out some equipment and a reader and a few years of working electronics and with your problem ant no one here in DX lane can check it for you.So take it in to the volve or mack dealer and bite the bullet. glenn
  12. If you was to take care of it it may live but the thing about a 300 is its good low end torque that the trans would be subject to not take. The older quad trans was good for big HP at hi rpm and that is not the way a 300 works.
  13. I think its main problem was the cost of it.
  14. The flash code 3-4 means problem with the circuit or sensor on the timing event marker, located on the side of the ectronice governor housing. The flash code 3-5 means problen with the timing actuator. This can be from a oil pressure problem to a electrical problem on the actuator. With out a manual and a reader you can not repair and no one else can with out hands on.
  15. Ok now we can help you. What code is this and have you tryed to repair it?Any time the light comes on and derates there is a code for just this reason and that is to tell you what is happening.Clear trhe codes and go drive it till it derates then tell me what code you come up with.
  16. Maybe some one can help you with the problem and if so start with telling me what is derating the engine and how have you been repairing it and do you do your own work and do you have the understanding of the electronics of the system? If you are asking me about your problem then i will say repair it right and then the problem should not come back. But you can not clear a inactive code and expect the problem to not come back.
  17. This is letting them drink beer too young. http://www.liveleak....=7ad_1344150904
  18. It never diables the front brakes but only limits the air pressure some for slippey roads.
  19. If you come to Tulsa i will give you all that you need for the yoke. glenn
  20. In 95 there was three maybe four piston crown #s and one was for a V mac one for a 400 and one for a 275 to 300 and another for the 350 HP. So that would be four different pistons. Its in the bown design and also the compression ratio. The injector lines will also be different but basic you would remove the oil controlled timing advance and then install the 7100 P pump and it will have to be from a E 7 because the drive is shorter than a E6.I my self would repair the propblem with the V mac. It only electrial controls that give a problem and once you find the right guy to work on it your problem is cut down some.
  21. Were are you located at in Tex?
  22. http://freedomoutpost.com/2012/08/obama-campaign-sues-to-restrict-military-voting/
  23. Now that i think some more i beleive the piston could be used for a mechanical pump but would not be good to used a mechanical piston on a V mac engine. Reason is bowl design, the V mac has a greater amount of timing variration than a mechanical engine.
  24. The mechanical engine has different pistons then the V mac. Also will you loose any gauges?
