  1. I have one of each and on a long down hill grade it will help to keep brakes from getting hot. But the engine does not have enough cubit inche display to be as good as a DD or cat.
  2. tHE EASY PEDAL 1850 IS A hd CLUTCH.iT WILL HOLD UP ON YOUR TRUCK.
  3. I cant see any difference in the dnytard and jake brake for power.
  4. I would not set the timing any more than 4 or 5 degrees faster than specs.Washers may be something he heard another driver talking about. The V mac engine can get 400 HP safe but they have a varable timing device. The mechanical pump is fixed so 400 Hp has to be drove in a safe maner or you still can hurt the engine. If i was to set the fuel up much i would replace the turbo and i would stay with a factory mack 400 for a v mac engine. It is easy to get if you need one on the road.If you go that way i can give you the mack #.Set the fuel up a little at a time till you gain about 6 psi more boost and if you ant go a boost gauge and pryometer then get one first. You will need 5" exhaust also.
  5. No a jake brake on a mack works if you use your imagination and open both doors with the window rolled up.Put straight pipes on it so you will know when its working or not. glenn
  6. If you want to build some bumbers you can weld up the bolt holes and cut them up and make bumbers from them.

  10. A good chance they cant even find the voting booths. And some of them cant even read yet.
  11. Do you have a set and also make sure the torque arms mount same way before you pull them out.
  12. I wonder who is going up town in the moring and pay for my fuel pump repairs.I have this funny feeling i will be the one who writes the check but wondering now whos account it will be on. I think it will have to be me and my own hard work who pays for it. I ant crying over it but if i can get some one else to pay for it i will be waiting. O i need that pump maybe in two weeks so take your time who ever. glenn
  13. I have been told that there is aready scum bags in all parts of the country that will turn you in for owning a gun when and if they are outlawed. This i can believe because that is how Obama got voted in to start with. Suck ups thinking they will be in favor of the almighty furor. And suck ups thinking they will get something for free. And suck ups thinking that they will get a job at being over some hard working man that is doing all he can to get by. Guys i am worried this fool is going to finish this country off for good. This has been a tough country to stay as long as we have when a dictator is trying to kill us and our way of life.He is a bady wolf in sheeps clothing. He is trying to get votes by telling the young people they dont need to work. e is telling me to get on food stamps and welfare but i keep wondering what my kids think of this when their old man is letting them support me.O i forgot they can have food stamps and get on welfare to.Does this make any sense to any one else? glenn
  14. Is the new after market stand drilled for the frame or is blank? And can you get it not drilled?
  15. That is may dream engine. I worked a few of them before i retired and loved them. The rod end of the rod is too large t go thru the liner so you have to load piston into liner and stuff it like a two cycle. To pull piston liner has to come with it.Why cant i have one?
  16. Check the concrete mixers and then you can get a vin # and order from mack.
  17. This was a common thing with mack and also ford had the same set up on the 20000 axles. I have never understood the purpose of this.
  18. May be sucking air but its easy to check. If you dont have a sight glass then make one. If the supply hose to the pump is a # 10 straflex then get two swivels andremove the thimble that screws on to the hose and dischard them. Go to the lumber yard or hardware store and buy some clear hose that will go over the fittings and then put a clamp over the hose. Put it inline at different places to look for air bubbles in the fuel when running half throdle. If you can find it then pull the tackometer cable off of the fitting its screwed on the pump. With the engine running maybe 1500 pour some fuel into the opening were the tack cable was and then watch for it to be sucked in side. Also put a little bit of luber plate or white lub in the weep hole of the front drive cover of the pump.Watch for it to be sucked in side. This can be done with engine running and bend the clear plastic hose over and pull a restriction on the hose from the pump. This will make it suck in faster. If you find the problem then post back with the details and maybe it can be repaired on the truck. glenn
  19. They are hard to get out.I use a home built with a power ram to pull but its hard to use it on the rear cyl if in the frame. Here is another puller that will work on the later mack engines. Some times i have to run a few beads up and down the inside of the liner with welding rod tro pull. glenn
