Wood Steering Wheel
mackcl96 replied to cargochief's topic in Exterior, Cab, Accessories and Detailing
Purchased a VIP wheel from 4 States in Joplin Mo, in 1999,,, fit nice and even had the Mack dog on the horn just like the factory. My hands are a little rough so after a few years the wood stain will start to lighten Also it will get some getting use to the vibration in the solid wood wheel that the leather wheel absorbed. -
Add me to this curiosity list,,,,, Had this thought in the back of my head for years, when my pump guy told me we cant get much more out of this pump,, because of the computer wont let the truck start. Could you leave the computer and close the loop at the pump and rewire the Jake like a mechanical??

Not bad USED 1958 MACK B73; Cummins Engine; US $12,995 ; -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Detailed Description: 215 WB, 220 Cummins Fuller 9 Over against the dash board. 10x20 tires 4.50 ratio 34000 rears. its a western truck, now in W.Pa http://www.truckpaper.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=2792691& This truck was used as a well maintained flatbed that had a large compressor mounted on back for a spray shot-crete company until 2001. Since then, we have been collecting vintage parts, documentation and maintaining it with all fluids changed and periodically running it to keep the batteries charged. Unfortunately, the previous owner cut out the rear window for better visibility, but this sale also includes a donor cab that can be cut and spliced in. Truck comes with excellent historical documentation from Mack and complete set of all original bright metal, badges and insignia. This truck is very powerful, runs great and is really fun to drive with the twin stick triplex transmission. My plan was to do a full restoration, but other projects and interests have taken priority. This rust-free New Mexico truck is a solid foundation for a restoration project or just work-it the way she is. Email me for a short video clip of the truck running. Just watched this weeks show,,,,,,,,Started to wonder about the Titans,,, but one was in one garage seen with the hood up for service. Its all about the cash in hand for sponsorships.. Who will pay more to show their product on TV,,,,,,,I'm going to say Western star gave more ass kissing and money then Mack so far this year,,, for now like when you see a Wix filter for 10 seconds for no reason,, or all the tires on trucks are at the position to read the maker name. its all about the money.

I fully understand on the black frame.....Had one with a red frame,,,and working BLACKtop it was a pain to keep clean The red frame was a Mack thing in the Northeast for years (its memories for me) If I could do dirt only,, I may try a color for the frame again,,,but now its black only for the frame.
