  1. Are there any degrees marked on the flywheel? Can you post a picture of the side of the pump?

    Mack Nozzle

Yup me too! One project to and on to the next!
  3. No problem that's what we do here! So if your going to tap on anything tap on the rear of the pump there the rack actuator is contained in that area and is likely the culprit turn the key on tap lightly on the housing and try to start! if it starts you will be looking at removing the fuel pump at some point!
  4. Ok the extra shut down has been deleted on that !
  5. This is likely a turbo issue ! The turbo shaft seal is letting exhaust gases by and pressure into the crank case!
  6. Guess that was my point! Not worth the headaches!
  7. All good bro happy for you ! cheaper than a pump !😎
  8. Can post a picture of the whole fuel pump please!
  9. You could always hire someone to drive the tipper. yup long as you can find the right guy or person ! Ya need to find a person that can think on the fly if something goes sideways they need to be able to deal with it! These types are hard to find in my area!
  10. yes remove the cover and check bolt 13 for tightness ! also check the yoke bolt!
  11. A true patriot!
  12. Yup I agree how ever never had to work one! Just experience working on! And my experience tells me I would have a fuller over a Mack 18 any day of the week!If I was ever to own a truck!
  13. I've always adjusted Tight to 16 and 24 just sayin !
  14. check to make sure the yoke bolt is tight and yup pull the lid and check piston nut! for tightness!
  15. yup how ever them springs can break as pointed out !worth a look see!
  16. The truth is hard to take sometimes Joe!😇
  17. Yup Joey is a legend here ! This place has good info if you hang out long enough stuff rub's off on you! 😁
  18. Do you still have the same turbo on there as you had when you first posted? are you still (Checking or resetting ) the turbo sweep as we discussed? again if the program gets used to a certain sweep on start up it will save it each time it starts! if the vanes get stiff (carboned up) the turbo sweep will change!
  19. Try leaving it in gear and pulling the range shift before you move the stick!
  20. All good get volts up and she will likley sputter to a start ! Get solid fuel to All six she likley light up clean! Been my experience if you get at least two banging it will go! Allot easier on the starter with more than two!
  21. We used to do a ton of exhaust gaskets! Meant disassemble of all injection lines ! We would place bets on who could make it run on the first few cranks ! The only way to do this is to get fuel running at the injection lines at the head!I was the only guy in the shop that would bleed this way cause someone along the line told these people to never bleed at the head! Where the starter out instead I guess! Anyway that’s how to make them start and run on all six 4 turn or less! In this case my way or the highway!😡
  22. Getting the air out can be painful thus doing the injection line at the head ! Get solid fuel to at least three cylinders! No foam
  23. These can be a bastard to get started are you cracking the lines at the head? Not at the pumps! If you’re doing it at the pumps you’ll be there for ever trying! Just sayin!
  24. Two simple things Check the throttle lever is going to its full stroke check the stop for full on! If you have a boost leak it should be laying down a fare amount of gray / black smoke travelling along the road! air filter clean ?
