  4. Its relatively easy to get the floor out why not pull and trace that section anyway! pull the hatch Lots of room to look then long as there's not controls bolted to it!
  5. if it looks like a duck and smells like a duck just saying! Nail the cylinder down my! suspicion is a bent valve or valve train issue! ! Lack of compression! or a bent rod! But You say it smells like raw fuel ! You could have a sticking injector I suppose! can't hurt to have em pop tested ! or nail it down and swap em! see if it perks up on the dead cyl! relatively simple DYI stuff cheap to do! Just me!
  6. so don't ask any more questions of him! I know what its like to have someone breathing down your neck! Make sure he replaces the bolts and make sure to get the cal numbers off the new pumps and their locations if he doesn't have the Mack soft ware!
  7. So just a comment on this ! If its a ROBERT bosch manual pump (likely is) identify which cylinder likely number 1 The delivery valve washers are made of copper these have been known to crack and leak by internally ( specially on number one) and cause a miss most noticeable At Idle! Crack fuel lines at the pump till you find one that doesn't change the sound of the engine that will be your culprit ! just something to look for!
  8. Good Find and good info Bro! SO , Is this the same as the trim code? or some other function In PTT!? Learned Data Reset? Just askin!
  9. Yup and if you insist on changing pumps use new bolts to install! also you need to install Cal codes into the computers brain if he doesn't have the VMAC 3 software on his lap top you my need to go to a shop that does so write down the numbers off the pumps and there location so it can be done!
  10. Correct Heinz Just making a point! It does make sense what JoeH stated there how ever they used ATF for years with a direct couple pump with out issue! I think the purpose was monetary at the time! quick and easy and cheaper! Just sayin!
  11. The ps pump is engine mounted on mp engines as well I believe are they using engine oil too? just sayin!
  12. Can't help there! Sorry! Joey you got a wiring chart?!
  13. Agree Heinz! re check the set! How ever Fuel knock is pretty distinctive! Harness is a good probability it should be coding out thou! or pin fretting was a common issue!
  14. It happens! No evidence of water at any of the connections ? is it derating the truck? If not Drive it! No pyro is not the end of the world!
  15. Yup! when you got three you likly got a wiring issue Joey Is all over this Take heed!
  16. You can tap it on far enough to get the nut back on won’t hurt anything!
  17. Yes no speedo can derate too!
  18. Not sure on your codes! How ever did you examine the rocker shaft to make sure it wasn't cracked ! It almost sounds as thou the engine brake is on! Or you have a bent valve! Can you identify which cyl it is! Cylinder cut out!after watching the vid My opinion! The smoke is lack of compression smoke! and it sounds like only one cylinder! I would nail down which cylinder first This looks more like a physical issue! Just sayin!
  19. Do you have a puter with ptt? that will do a cut out test? cylinder balance test? Jpro?
  20. Its on top of the Cylinder on the top rear of the trans!
  21. No there’s enough trickle down lube all good! And as you know the lifter is way better!if you could round up a set you wouldn’t look back! The old style was a welded on hard surface I believe the new style is a billet !
