  1. Some Superliners from Worcester show Sunday.
  2. Some of my pics of mine and my friends trucks in Macungie.
  3. Doing a really nice job, amazing what it looks like from the time you started to post pics of your progress on it here. Definitely a work of personal satisfaction.
  4. Nice body on the RD, like those air opening or free swing gates. Also nice truck.
  5. For those of you with more knowledge than I have, a friend has a 13 speed fuller coupled to a 400 Mack and I have an 8LL fuller in my Superliner coupled to my 425 Cat. He had the idea of trading transmissions with me because his other trucks all have the 8LL in them. I like the trans now in my Superliner runs fine just lacks that extra on the hills running loaded. Is there a lot to a swap over if possible. I have driven his 13 speed and it runs nice.
  6. Was a 6 month backlog when I ordered the barn in December and now it's going to be the end of July to have it done, I at least know they will be here soon because all the materials are here and they wanted to know where to place a dumpster. So long as it is up soon no issue the trucks are stored in another building off site for now.
  7. I have a couple of little doe's running in the woods behind my house, see them hen they are eating my flowers. I put a second coat on the barn floor of sealer this weekend, the finish gets nicer with each coat. this will probably be it, used 7 gallons to cover 900 sq feet put it all on with a roller and a brush along the edge.
  8. Yes target deer, my oldest daughter bow hunts. But not to worry has not got one yet, but she practices a lot, so Bambi's safe,,,,lol
  9. Been a month an then some since anything was done on the barn. Well they delivered the whole kit this week of course cash and carry, so now that all the arterial is here they tell me it will be a week and a half till they put it up. So that got me going on it again, brought in a load of crush and run to fill all the approaches in so they don't bounce off the aprons and I sealed the concrete floor with a Laquer in it for a nice wet look and can take hot tires on it with out lifting.
  10. The truck was sold at auction for I want to say just over $100,000 then add on buyers premium. Was a real nice truck, sold I believe to someone from the Pa area.
  11. The nice thing about Mack is you pretty much can get any color you wanted, last I knew they still painted all the cabs by hand so they are not subject to having certain colors for the robotic painters to draw from. You will always have the most common colors white, red black and blue but after that its what you want for a color pretty much. My RW753 started life red and black and pretty much still is except for the 64 ford Fairlawn blue on the hood. You where also asking about Spec's, mine is a Superliner II or an RW753, has 14,600# front, 50,000# rears, double frame, 204 wheel base, and a 425hp Cat 3406B in it with an 8LL trans.
  12. All lined loaded up for the ride home from Macungie.
  13. Paul the barn is in a holding pattern, my barn is running about 3 wks behind schedule, I was suppose to have it up by the end of June, now I am being told not till the end of July. Was not happy with that, now when the B-61 comes home from Mack Museum I will need to store it in the warehouse with the other truck till its done. I did get to park my truck next to it to get a feel for how it will fit, tight as I thought front to back but lots of room between trucks, Barn originally for just the Superliner so it was to be 36x24 but my father told me to go bigger because the B-61 was going to be mine in the future so I went to the 30x30 size to stay at or under 900 sq feet or anything bigger opens up a hearing and my neighbors opinions or voice to stop it. So I took what I could get by code from the building inspector with no neighbor input. On a bright note my oldest daughter gave me my first wall art for the barn, a nice Mack sign. Jack
  14. Finished up the trailer today for the trip south next Thursday. Put the new tires back on, had 8 new tube type Double Coins mounted and the rims all painted, now I need to get the Superliner cleaned and checked out for the run. So attached are what I started with as my wife called it " the pig without lipstick" to a " pig with lots of lipstick"
  15. I myself have had nothing but good interactions when I have been to his place several times. Our last visit there last fall with my father who was in search of a winch to mount on our B-Model, Gary put him in a cart and off they went and 45 min later they returned and I owned a 50 ton winch for the truck. Gary did the whole deal on a hand shake and we left and sent Gary the balance on the winch the next day. Any time I go there he is very gracious and personable with us,,,,,Just my dealings.
  16. No trailer stays out. But with the excavation work done I gained a large flat area beside the barn to park the trailer here at the house. The barn will only house the two trucks.
  17. Trailer all done with the painting. Painted it with Rust Bullet primer after it got sand blasted and finished with Rust Bullet Gloss Black. Got all new LED lights and decided to put oak decking down the middle to close it in. New tires coming put the tube type radials back on it just need to paint the rims, got them all primed over the weekend.
  18. I live in the middle if a residential neighborhood so it has to be landscaped. I also want it to look like it fits in with my house.
  19. Floor poured this week. So now I can star putting my landscaping back together, just need to leave them room to work around it. They tell me I am still in schedule for my barn to be done
  20. Weather is finally on my side, so we got the first coat of finish paint on the trailer, going to have the goose neck red and black. Picked up all the new lights going to put all LED back in and picked up all my DOT tape for the sides. If anyone has or knows of a place I am in search of a 10.00x15 split rim to make up as a spare for the trailer. I kept all the split rims and will be putting all new tires on and tubes,
  21. Packing the 200 tons of pack I hauled in to fill the core of the foundation.
  22. Back filled foundation, then was impatient and parked my friends truck in to get a feel of my truck in it.
  23. Well walls all poured they will strip forms today and then I will let it set for a few days to cure then start backfilling. They want to pour the floor in couple of weeks after Its all filled and compacted. The Morton building rep was there for the wall pour to set all the anchor bolts for the posts, going to go with a 5" slab and a rebar mesh to strengthen it and he will poor me a 3' concrete apron outside the doors.
  24. Things where busy here this week got the footings in and wall poured today
