  1. Really nice job, I always liked those trucks, would consider a trade of my Superliner for one.
  2. Happy Thanksgiving to you and the rest on here. Hope you all got time with family and friends.
  3. Looks like a nice project and look forward to seeing your progress. Jack
  4. I would not due it, what's in it now for a trans. Mine has an 8 LL with 5.02 rears and 425 hp in it.
  5. They are working off the model of selling lower cost trucks to large freight or lease companies that buy based on cost and are not looking for a custom truck but for lack of a better word a modular truck that you plug in xyz componet groups. The trucks appeal to a cost conscious buyer and is not looking for longevity. That is why they own so much of the market and there business model is working large prophets off lower price points and large volume equals the giant they are.
  6. I feel your pain of separation, mine is not that far like yours is, mine now is on her own in Cleveland, but the last I saw here was the days she and her mother took her there in July and being a nurse will not see her for the holidays,,,So Cleveland here I come,,,lol
  7. I am in no way in favor of giving kids a free tuition for college, but I am in the belief that the cost for public university education is getting absurd today. I have two daughters who have graduated from college and we saved for both of them to obtain there degrees, the oldest graduated with over $65,000 in loans that she is paying off and the other has $28,000 in loans to pay off. They live on there own and both work a lot, one is a nurse in Cleveland and the other a dental assistant, and they both make good money but still after all there bills they don't have much left to save. I just feel college tuition is not a right but a state university we all support should not be able to charge private school costs,,,,and yes both my kids got great educations they have put to great use but no public school should be able to charge almost $40,000 a year with room and board. Just my thought.
  8. Nice pictures as always. Here are some more day cabs
  9. Here are some pictures, the Super with the low Bed and loader is mine in its past life prior to my ownership, The black Superliner with the DM800 works every day pulling a dump trailer.
  10. Saw that also, followed by the two cars in the breakdown lane, he must of been a cheap SOB and didn't want pay to have it moved.
  11. That would be us, we got home here around 2:30pm. Thanks for the compliments.Jack
  12. Some pictures from my stop at Gary's
  13. Spent the weekend down in Pa at John Hanes get together, stopped at Gary Mahan's to pickup a winch for my B-61. Her are the three Superliners together.
  14. Full Fenders on mine, one piece corrugated stainless, look nice and are durable. I thinks they cost me less than a grand for the pair.
  15. All waxed for show,,,,,,yeh Mother Nature seems to have other plans. Don't think I am going to make the 6hr trip south from here in the rain. Oh well it will be put away clean for the winter!
  16. Which bumper do you have on yours ?
  17. Looks nice, wondered what a Superliner would look like with that type of fender on the rears. Looks very nice Scott. Jack
  18. I am planning on taking my truck down to it for the first time, had a great time in Macungie so I figured should go there also.,,,,,,,Jack
  19. I doubt they are, a heavy hauler around here had a New Cat tri-axel pulling a low bed around here ( Cappello ) I saw them with the truck for less than a year and they got rid of it.
  20. Looking good. Doing it yourself or at a paint shop. Jack
  21. I know of one for sale in Chelmsford, send me a message. Jack
  22. I did and if my view of what it meant was wrong then I apologize.
  23. Yes I most certainly knew, and the founding fathers also made sure to include the " Separation of Church and State" My religious views are mine and yes guide my values, but my values don't trump another's views and I don't want my politics decided by some one religious views, we all don't share the same religion and yes there is probably one god but he has different names and that is fine.
  24. I am sorry to have to disagree with you Kscarbel, religion has no part in politics or business, religion is personal and how they want to live there life based on there beliefs. So before I am labeled a left wing liberal which I am not, I did go to catholic schools for my education and so have my two daughters and that was of there choosing. My religious views are my own and government has no right being in religion and vise versa. I also think that President Obama has been a horrible president not based on race but he has no policy and is indecisive and leads based on polls plain and simple. If you vote you have the right to complain and if you don't participate in the system then don't complain if you don't like the results and I am not saying that to infer that no one here doesn't but more in what I tell my daughters.,,,,,Just my feelings
