  1. Looks a lot different from the way i was told how they use to do it. My dad worked fro Hallamore when they built 691 in CT. They used 2 DM600s and 2 DM800s. The bridge beams were put on bolster plates on the fifth wheel and then on mini trailers in the back. They were very long beams too. One of the Dm800 blew a tire going up there and he had to use a lot of jacks to get it off the ground.
  2. How about Trumbull Construction from Trumbull. He had 4 or 5 of them he sold 2 quite a few years ago
  3. So this was similar to the Canadian Kenworths and Western Stars that the upper tube just goes into the engine compartment to circulate hot air for the extreme cold? Rob The plow trucks around here have the ability to suck from under the hood and from outside. They want to keep the dry snow out of the air cleaner coming off the plow
  4. I would put anything from a E6, E7 mech, E9 V8. Mechanical is the way to go if you ask me. I believe the ASET is the problem engine.
  5. I wanna say it was red oak but it might have been white. My dads friend owns a logging company and a sawmill so he makes us everything. Watch out for the 44k they have a tendency to crack around the bolt holes in the banjo and leak if it is the 2 piece style.
  6. The ones who were causing the trouble didn't look Irish or care about the parade, just there to cause trouble. I was standing up on the steps of the church on the green and all you saw was cops running from one side to another and then a bunch of motorcycle cops and then it would calm down for a minute and then they would run again then you would see them jump on somebody. I had a drunk girl fall on me i pushed her off into her friend. At this point a lot of people left even though it wasn't over. The way that city is you got to be scared of getting shot.
  7. Pine is a little too soft isn't it? We redid our lowbed with 2" oak
  8. What he said above. Make sure the trunnion doesn't have any cracks though. What do you plan on putting in 38K, 44K, etc.?
  9. There is Mark IV construction from Bridgeport that paints his trucks like that. I've only seen him with DM's maybe he tried two out and didn't like them?
  10. Your airride has a trunnion? Spring is better for dump trailer and lowboy
  11. Its very possible. Your gonna need a good trunnion and a good set of springs and rears.
  12. Heres the official flyer. Convoy start locations are to be determined this week.
  13. I'll buy it for a dollar. LOL
  14. Looks better than my Sunday. Went to the St. Patrick's parade in New Haven. Than this is about the 4th or 5th time the cops had to stop racially motivated fighting or someone grabbing something and robbing. All the yellow dots are cops plus another 50 or so you can't see
  15. It is a '66 or '67. probably cost more when it was done then when new
  16. We got some hub pilot aluminums for our 43yr old Fruehauf that looked way worse then that and we wire wheeled then and then sanded them down. They came out pretty shiny and smooth. I'm gonna try polishing them in the next couple weeks or so
