  1. I think he wants to put the truck on his lowboy. I think the lowboy hes talking about is one of those old style ones with the tires across the back
  2. My dad was just telling me one of the last cars he got a week later took him the whole day to dig out. The owner f the car called the DMV because of the big price. they wanted to talk to the driver (who didn't have a license )
  3. "You may download any image for personal** or non-commercial use only. **Personal does NOT mean you can post them on your own YouTube or FaceBook pages." It doesn't say anything about BMT
  4. My dad was telling me how he was pulling cars off the Highway for days. He was only 15 at the time driving a F-350 for East Side Garage. I like the picture of the 2 B-models and Ford plowing the best.
  5. Fountains Garage?
  6. Some pictures i found off the internet of the Blizzard of '78 which hit the northeast hard. It was the first time CT ever closed it highways due to weather. I think the pictures of the DMs getting loaded in Hartford are Tomasso/Tilcon
  7. If wearing on inside sounds like toe off or king pins jack it up and really try moving hub up and down to see if bad kingpin
  8. They didn't start using air to air till mid '80s
  9. I like in the email where he says, "I then give THEM credit for the photos. I don't photoshop their name OFF the photos." Most of the photos on here have a name in them or typed above them i don't know maybe those guys are jealous of this awesome website and don't like us.
  10. What was the deal with Farnum? My dad was telling me they use to haul stone out of Tilcon NB and dump it at Pine Rock load it back on trucks and haul it down to beard. Seems to me it would be easier to just run it over the scale instead of dumping and reloading.
  11. i think your able to shim something in the injection pump that increase fuel pressure thus increasing hp my dad did it to his '93 E7-300
  12. That's a GOOD engine I would say turbo, injection pump, maybe injectors
  13. I'm not positive but you might also have to change injectors. That also makes difference if mechanical or electronic? If electronic you have to start playing around with computer.
  14. The guy said he was going to get back to us but didn't tonight. he said he was going to do some research on them so hopefully he just ordered the wrong parts. The outer teeth matched just not the inner.
  15. I think it was suppose to help you off-road. There were a few mixers and dumps around CT with tri-drive.
  16. My dad was telling me when he use to fuel Pratt & Whitney they use to have 4 or 5 Heavy duty r-model tractor with plows on them that never got used.
  17. When Blakeslee was on Middletown Ave is when Vinny Arpaia and Roger Chapman bought out the Construction Division. Plunskee's has one of their old mixers which they took one steer axle out and put a wrecker body on it.
  18. If only these guys came on here and read this thread!
  19. OK so we took off the side plate off the front rear end and their was a chunk of teeth lying there. it was from the gear that connects to the power divider so we bring the power divider to Ballard Mack and they order the parts. Well they call up today and say the parts don't match. The ones they ordered are 30 something teeth on the inside where as the one in it has only 8 teeth. they ordered the parts before taking it apart. Are the 8 tooth after Market or for a heavier duty carrier? the truck came from Mass so idk if they put heavier carriers in since Mass lets you move anything with them. anybody have any info?
  20. Its a picture! These guys must have nothing better to do with their lives but complain all day. and they put it on the internet for others to view so if they don't want other people to see "THEIR" pictures don't put them on it!
  21. Tilcon still uses the Sacket Point Rd Plant all the time. You have to back the tri-axles underneath it but they still use it. Same thing with Pine Rock. As for Blakeslee he remembers when they were on Sargent Drive. He says you might know Pat Crocco, he was from Hamden and he rode his Horse all around town. He worked for C.W. Blakeslee too
  22. Sounds they are a little up tight over there.
