    My dads friends 81? RWS has brackets welded to the straps. Seems like a way better design then the new style

    What do you mean by "just got the frame redone and it bent"? and if i were you id personally keep it. A e7 is a practically bulletproof motor. It might take some more $ to get it in nice shape but you'll have something you built and is reliable.

    They aren't. Theres "rough" superliners everywhere that have good cabs and hoods that can be used. Not ones in good condition(from the pictures) that have V8s and 12 speeds.......
