  1. Unfortunately Matt Flanagan passed away a few years back. Had a lot of trucks in his collection and i would love to get my hands on the pictures he had of all his R700s and more taken up in Tilcons quarry. my dad told me about when he went to get the truck in Canada and i vaguely remember it sitting in his yard as i was young when he was still around. im surprised no one has pictures of his truck as there were all very sharp looking. Last i know everything that was in the yard was sold or scrapped. My dad is good friends with his step-son

  6. i know a friend of mines DM800 has a Cummins with a mack tranny behind it and thats from the factory
  7. We had a company in town that was running R-models with air ride and the frames broke in all of them behind the mounts i think
  8. Where is it cracking?
  9. cant say ive ever seen a single axle with a detachable unlike the old days where al they used were single axles with fixed neck trailers
  10. Luckily is was our only one. Replaced 2 DMs with this and another steel nose DM we did over. Looks like its going to need air compressor #6 now as it takes forever to build air if its not warm. Tranny still has the same problem till this day that mack didnt want to know anything about. Tried sticking us with a bill for 3K and they never questioned why we didn't pay it.....duh. Over all its a very good motor just had some issues. Good thing we had other old macks that could support it.
  11. Supposedly a storm coming for us next week to drop a foot of white stuff....
  12. Our E-tech has been trouble free from macks part at least.... all the problems we had were (7) turbos and (5) air compressors. It dropped a valve seat at 375,000 I think and we put 2 rebuilt heads on but everything else was still very good. Had a problem with the jake that Mack fixed by putting a high pressure oil pump on. Truck has 450,000 on it now and pulls the same as the day we bought it in 2000. Good truck besides turbos and tranny.... the turbo n it now is supposedly the "fix" and the tranny still is doing that sane thing as it did form the factory jumping outa gear.
  13. i was thinking the same thing......
  14. i was told that some Mack employees were mad over mack trying to break the union and caused some mischief which let to people getting injured or killed and mack getting sued.
  15. There a few of them running around here but mostly site units
  16. Usually crack around the bolts hole for the carrier to go in. Ive seen worse though. These are usually the welded together 2 piece housings. You see a lot of trucks with the original front and a cast replacement rear.
  17. Assuming its a mack motor it would be gold with a gold tranny
  18. Will it be at Macungie this year?
