  1. Adjust the stop on the door hinge, I think it's one of the hinges, loosen the jam nut and turn in the bolt, retighten the jam nut.
  2. they made the cab and hood, I bought one back in 1986, similar to this Texas one. It was a pretty good truck, had problems with the fenders breaking away from the hood, they gave me a new hood and that broke also, they would do no more. I bought the truck off quality when he was a dealer. The doors panels would always come loose and the wipers sucked, they were air, the newer ones changed to electric. They did have a lot of leg room due to the flat dash, mine had a 400 cat with a 9 speed and air ride which was Hendrickson, and use to rip shocks apart, I don't think I would have bought another if they were still around.
  3. yes they did and that would explain that setup.
  4. jack I am still tryin to get a load up your way, may not happen till we start haulin the fresh apples in September, if you need to move them sooner I understand. Truck looks nice by the way.
  5. this truck still around, v8 in it?
  6. I have a used radiator cap for I believe a B-81. It is the one that uses the flip lock. It doesn't have the flipper part on it, the chrome was faded so I stripped it and polished it up nice, looks pretty nice, I do have a used dog for it, the gasket is in tack. Is there anyone interested in buying it before I post any pics? I also have a used left side vent window for a B-61/81 for the left door. Chrome is fair and the glass. the lock is missing and the rubber is a little shity.
  7. needs a big 8 inch straight pipes setup on there to set it off!!
  8. Can't you mount a condenser under the charge air cooler in front somewhere the grille denser always breaks.
  9. any pics of these two superdog
  10. looks way better, ken
  11. Nice ride, good luck with her and run like you stole it!
  12. Pretty common for the air pressure difference in most trucks by at least 5 pounds.
  13. Check the harness on the motor, the clips holding the wires on the valve covers especially. You might have a weak relay also.
  14. That turned out really nice, looks sweet.
  15. Any V-12's up there?
  16. this is one of the nicest r models around, perfectly done.
  17. i agree, resources are a problem when you have to worry about the fleet and the daily driver, a spot to keep in and work on it when time and family permits is the other problem.
  18. If do all that work I think I will just swap them out, if it was only one maybe but they have been welded to many times.
  19. I got a 2000 rd with double frame Hendrickson/Mack air ride from factory. I need to change my cracked rear housings both off them are shot. I found a cutoff Mack air ride out of a ch. the ratios are the same. The differences are the ch one is 38,000 pounder, mine is a 44,000. Also the air ride in mine uses the tube from bag to bag vs the flat plate on the cutoff. I am wondering if the spring spacing is the same so I can just remove my rear with spring attached and slap in the ch ones, both of my carriers are worn out also. The cutoff has a rebuilt one in the rear, I am going to take a chance with the front one. I don't need the heavy specs in the truck, never load it pass 80,000. Plus the 38,000 will be cheaper to maintain and lighten it up a little, worst come the worst I will have to buy all new u bolts, I would hate to mess with them because they are all nice and straight and tight, no signs of leaking.
  20. You should market that weasel tool you made, I would buy one!
  21. That's what it is, I have a 15 fuller in my 96 Pete with 3.70 rears, in deep reduction it has great a great takeoff on a hill or soft ground, I love it the 18 speeds are nice but are expensive to buy and repair, I would go with the 15.
