    they do it now, i live in ny and i run 8 inch straights on my pete with a cat we have straights on the kw and always ran them on the macks, never really had any tickets, maybe a warning or two. Ct was more of a problem.

    I had one on 2000 rd up front near the waterpump. They are fairly easy to install,get the kit from mack if yours doesn t have one.

    You should cover up that inlet pipe and turbo pipe never know would can blow in there.

    Check your wire harness leadind to the pump,on that year there is a round plug near the oil fill tube\cap that can cause problems. Also check and clean all your grounds.

    Could be the pedal control ,i don't know the year,but i had a 94 e7 and the ecovance control went bad and it was doing similar things.

    I have a 2000 RD with double frame and mack/hendrickson air ride. I need to replace the rear banjo and if i can find a cutoff that would be great, the ratio is 3.86 mack rears any leads would be great.

    It is probably the govenor or the unloader valves are stuck,both cheap repairs.
