Yep, that's an industrial type extinguisher, came out of the Du Pont plant in Waynesboro, Va. I used it on the shed fire but it was just too much fire. It was old then, but it worked great. I remember it costing a small fortune to have it refilled too.

I unplugged the drop light I put under the house yesterday morning because I thought I would be leaving. Now the water's frozen again, so I plugged it back in. I'm waiting for it to thaw so I can take a shower before I leave for Pittsburgh. Looks like it won't be getting above freezing around here until Monday.

I've been seeing this movie on TV a lot lately, never saw or even heard of it before until the last year or so. It's a really good western! I came to the conclusion that Kevin Costner is more bad-ass than Clint, just from this one scene!

Now that's a good movie. So was "Stripes", but back when Clint was on a roll, all the Harry Callahan movies, Pale Rider, Josie Wales- didn't get much better!

You might have left out the part about how every one who knows, or even worse actually says, anything bad about the Clintons have an apparently uncontrollable urge to commit suicide by shooting themselves in the back of the head...usually two or three times.

...and they say- and i'm not sure who "they" are- that when "Jigsaw" 's old VT903 wouldn't start, he would drain the oil into a washtub, bring it in the house and warm it up on his kitchen stove, then put it back in the truck, started right up. That's what they say anyway.

I used to have a '68 Biscayne, with a 283 and a Powerglide. It wouldn't start one time when it was real cold, would barely turn over, so I put just a few pieces of charcoal in a cast iron skillet, slid it up under the oil pan for a few minutes, and it started right up.

We used to have block heaters on all the trucks at H.H.Moore's, when we got in we'd drop the trailer and park the trucks out by the fence and plug them in so they'd start when it was time to go. And usually they would, but if they didn't we'd take some pieces of plywood and prop them against the cab to kind of close off underneath the truck and aim the old kerosene space heater right up under it and in just a few minutes it was good to go.

Pretty neat video there, i've often wondered about locomotives, how big are the engines?..do they have a pony motor to start them?..they don't have a starter motor do they, no way it could turn that engine that long without burning up, could it?..I just figured when they were new and they first started them up that they were never shut off again, for anything, ever.

I'm far from being the smartest person here, as most of you already know, but I looked at something on Amazon.com a few days ago. I don't even remember what it was, I order a lot of stuff from Amazon. Then the very next day I'm on facebook, and there's an ad for whatever it was I was just looking at on Amazon. Coincidence? No way, every single thing you do is monitored by somebody, i'm sure.
