  1. No, the skidder was over on Pigeon Run Road, on the other side of Gladys from here. Jo talked to a man that stopped across the road a while back and he told her he was going to fence that land in across the road and put cattle on it. They've pushed all the brush up and sowed oats or something on it, that's all they've done so far. Guess we'll still have to drive 8 miles to Altavista to the Wal Mart store! And I mean to tell you, the heat and humidity has been brutal the last couple of weeks. I'd be soaking wet with sweat every day before 9am- miserable!
  2. I've been in every state in the lower 48 except one, and that's Oregon, and I have to say Montana is the prettiest place i've ever seen.
  3. True that!..especially that "lazy" part, and you left out the "greedy" part.
  4. hmmmmph...out of likes already.
  5. I wondered what was going on when I read comments to your posts, but never saw the post they were commenting on.
  6. Old GMC bus in Madison Heights. A big Mack truck. Log skidder dragging some trees up to the loader in a big cloud of dust.
  7. Oops! Nice scraper machine- Big peach. Peach trees- Big Mack truck. I saw a chain link fence. Three Mile Island power plant in the distance.
  8. I haven't seen much lately...well, I have seen lots of girls in a lot of cars. And this big Mack truck- I took this load of steel to Columbia, S.C. I got so hot untarping the next morning I thought I was going to melt! Saw these units on 321 south of Columbia when I was going to the post getting place in Earhardt. Got so hot down there I thought I was going to melt, while I was being eaten alive by gnats and mosquitoes. I pulled into the little bit of shade under this pecan tree to strap the posts down. Reminds me of when you see 85 cows in the field trying to squeeze into the shade of one cedar tree.
  9. Yeah, i'm out in the woods myself- half way between Altavista and Gladys, but there's a store 2 miles away, and only 8 miles to the Wal Mart in Altavista.
  10. I was misquoted- Actually I said "that meatloaf was the cat's ass". One of my good friends, Larry Wales, who's no longer with us, used that expression a lot. When he said something was "the cat's ass" that meant it was good, so he'd probably say that meatloaf was the cat's ass too. I have never actually tasted the cat's ass either.
  11. The last one I cooked I used thick cut bacon and it did not cook either. Well, it cooked, but it never did crispify. Crispify might not be a real word, but it never got crispy, and everybody likes crispy bacon. So this time I used regular bacon and it worked much better. But I did just that with the first one, the first time I warmed it up for leftovers I turned the oven on low to reheat it, then l turned it on broil for just a few minutes to cook the bacon a little more. Then Jo took the bacon off and browned it even more in a skillet- oh well, the flavor was still there anyway! I cooked it in the smoker, and used 2 lbs. of hamburger and 1 lb. of Italian sausage when I made it.
  12. Nice! I like the white White and the bullnose!
  13. Small town?...small town? You should visit Gladys! We have a store and a post office...oh, and a new Family Dollar store. Almost forgot, there's a small garage, and a wood yard...and that's it. No stop lights. Nice looking barbecue there too!
  14. A pink and green fire hydrant in Beaver, Pa. Big Beaver Blvd- But I also saw a big Mack truck with a load of logs. and some animals in a field.
  15. Did I post this before- this delicious bacon wrapped smoked meatloaf?..if I did, just don't pay any attention to it this time...did I mention how delicious it was? I saw the girl with the nice ass again. But I saw a big Mack truck too- and I saw storm clouds ahead. I had a two stop load, Chester, W.V. and Toledo, Oh. I was on rt. 20 here, somewhere between Norwalk and Bellevue. I saw a dog in a car too. A Stihl weed eater laying on the sidewalk. Hot brakes! A big Mack truck-
  16. Now McDonalds has a big "No Truck Parking" sign in their lot.
  17. This yellow one was there too, at Berkley Springs. Same place the wrecker is ...and more-
  18. I couldn't remember where I left off with pictures, but yeah, that's where the Clines are.
  19. I think I saw Green Dash, but he didn't wave. I saw this Terex sign, looked like a truck grill, but it appeared to be just floating in the air... A girl in a car at a red light.
