Well, here's that brisket I bought. I wanted to trim the fat cap down to about a quarter of an inch, and by the time I did there was hardly anything left. I was intending to cook it whole, but after all the trimming I went ahead and separated the two pieces. I wasn't expecting much from it... I put some worcestershire sauce and salt and pepper on it and let in marinate over night though- ...and hung it in that new barrel smoker the next morning- ...and it turned out to be the best brisket i've ever cooked, that smoker worked great- I was afraid the bottom of the ribs would burn, but they didn't and they turned out great too! I saw a girl in a car too. A load of rusty plate that they wanted me to tarp- the broker did that is, but I didn't. It was stored outside where I loaded, and they put it outside where I delivered. And here is A different girl in a different car- I delivered lumber to this place in Huddleston, Va. Got behind this woman on a bicycle on rt. 24 when I left- I saw another girl in another car somewhere along the line- Ad from the 70's- I'm not going to be greedy at all- i'm gonna get in the time machine and go get me a Duster, Roadrunner, and the GTX. Then i'll retire. Even though you could retire on the Superbird alone if you had one of those.

How did this get here anyway?.. page two should have been this week's new "Pictures of the Week"... I remember starting it, must have gotten distracted by something. I hauled two loads of stuff to the dump, hauled a load of scrap metal to Concord, went to Rustburg to get non-ethanol gas for new leaf blower, blew leaves out of the yard with the new non-ethanol gas powered leaf blower...I just don't know.

Back around 19 hunnert and 74 or 75, I went to the Suffolk Dragstrip in -where else? Suffolk, Va. At that time they held national events there, had concrete on the starting line, it was big time. Richmond Dragway was the regular "home track", it was pretty much "run what ya' brung", local guys, mostly street cars, but some heavy hitters ran there too. I don't know what the 1200 on the window means, this might not be at Richmond, but this Camaro ran low 9.90's consistantly. Big block Chevrolet, single carb, no blower, no nitrous. I'd go to Richmond about every weekend. But the one time I went to Suffolk with a few friends the thing I remember most is the two Chevy II Novas that ran 11's with 6 cylinder engines- that's a quarter mile, not an eighth. And my favorite- a solid black Corvette Stingray with a big six cylinder "truck motor" and a four speed. I think it was the big GMC motor, inline six- it had a big hood scoop that sat to one side of the engine, wheelie bars, just bad-ass! No name, no nuthin, just solid black. And when it left the starting line the front wheels would come up about 6 inches, wheelie bars would catch, second gear-front wheels would jump up about 6 inches, same in third, same in fourth! It was great, ran a 10.00000 every time I saw it run, best I can remember.

Yeah, if a TV crew followed me around I expect after a couple of days they'd say "really?..you mean,this is it?..when does the excitement part happen?" I read an article in some magazine one time that was put out by Navistar. It was about how they sent trucks to Alaska to run the haul road to Prudhoe Bay just for test purposes- they did not haul general freight, just big concrete blocks. And one of their drivers said in the article something like "all that stuff you see on TV is bullsh*t, if it was really as bad as they try to make it out to be nobody could ever do it".

I'm still cleaning up in the back yard, gonna cook out next weekend. I got a whole brisket yesterday... ...to try out the new smoker with.

Heading into Atlanta. I think that's Stone Mountain over there. Load of steel I delivered in Norcross. My Hasbro moisture detector detected 0.0 % moisture content. There was so much rain last week they were afraid it would get wet, but I put used paper off of some coils, plastic, then tarps on it. Then I went out to the middle of nowhere to this trailer manufacturing facility- and got this load of trailers- U.S. Rt. 1 in South Carolina- Then I got a load of pipes going to McDonald, Pa. I even saw a girl in a car with a McDonald's hamburger wrapper in her lap. Then I went to Follansbee, W.V. and got 2 coils coming back to Lynchburg. Saw some pterodactyls in Follansbee. Then I went to Petersburg and got a load of steel going to Oklahoma that doesn't deliver until Tuesday. That worked out well, because I have a ton of stuff to do around here. If I didn't I might have went to Crewe, Va. today to a tractor show they're having this weekend. They already had a few tractors there-

I think i've seen that video, I know of one that I have on a DVD that's a KB12 International with a 13 speed trans, 3 speed aux, and a 2 speed rear!

I went to Chester, W.V. again. Saw the girl with the nice ass' ass again. I had to go load in Follansbee, which is just down the road a bit- about 25 miles I think. I was half way there when I got a phone call telling me to "stop- I might have to send you to Sharon." Another driver was loading in Sharon and he had some kind of issue with them, i'm not sure exactly what, but he told me the guy in the shipping office there told him to "shut the f**k up and get the f**K out!" So I went down rt.2 to Weirton, crossed the river to Steubenville, and back up rt. 7 to 11 to rt. 80, basically making a big u-turn. I went to Sharon, got loaded, 5 coils, no problems, and had just gotten on the Pa. pike headed east when the phone rang. "Do you have any extra wood? Can you run by Follansbee and take it to the other driver, he doesn't have enough wood." So I get off on 79 south, back down to 22 west, south on rt. 2 to Follansbee, and take him the wood. The Follansbee load was a 5 coil load too by the way. He had enough wood to put in the coil racks, but the coils were touching the floor and they wouldn't load them. All he needed was some spacer blocks, a piece of 2x4 would have worked. I know there's a Lowes store in Steubenville, because i've delivered treated lumber there. He could have went there and got what he needed, probably about a 10 mile round trip, but no, it's much easier for me to go 8000 miles out of the way and switch loads and deliver wood and whatever else. I left Chester around 9 am and thought i'd be in Lynchburg before dark, but sometimes it doesn't pay to think. I ran out of hours before I got back and got to Lynchburg about 10am Friday morning. But, on a brighter note, the smoker I ordered came this week- haven't tried it out yet, i'll break it in at the Memorial Day cookout- everybody's invited, come on over.

Not much to see this week, but I did throw some junk in the junk pile- And I did see some animals in a field- and a girl in a car, but not near as good as last week's girl in last week's car. but I saw a girl who looked like a rassler too- ...and a girl in shorts- a girl in tight jeans- nice ass- And here's a girl with tight jeans, a nice ass, and beautiful hair. Two girls headed over behind the dumpster for some hot girl-on-girl action!..or maybe just going to have a smoke. ...guess they're just taking a smoke break...oh well, maybe next time.

Oh man, mine was a 350 Rally Nova, it ran good in stock form, but I put a set of 327/300 heads, mild cam, headers, Edelbrock intake, 780CFM Holley carb, Accel ignition, 'lectric fuel pump- the usual stuff- Then it ran great! It came with a three speed in the floor, but I bought an M-22 Muncie 4 speed and put it in, with a Hurst Competition Plus shifter! But i'd bet a big block Nova was the cat's ass! Wishing we had it now... I had the '72 Nova, a '68 Camaro, a '70 Chevelle SS, and more, but if i'd put just those three in the deep freeze, i'd be retired now!

Yes, i've seen them sitting over there. I go to Metsch Refractories about every other week, they're on rt. 2 right across from the Fun Cafe. The girl with the nice ass gets to work about 8:20 am.

I saw a Falcon for sale in Concord. I saw a Ford pickup for sale in Concord. I've got another load of toasted junk loaded up- Some Superliners in W.V. Almost forgot- I saw the best "a girl in a car" of seatcover season so far. And I even saw a big Mack truck. Then I saw the same girl in the same car again. ...and later I saw another girl in another car. Then I saw many more big Mack trucks.

Another Nova. I went to Chester, W.V. where I saw the girl with the nice ass. I don't know what her name is or what her face looks like, i've never seen it, so I just call her the girl with the nice ass for obvious reasons. Pteradactyl- this one looked like it wanted to bite somebody, so I kept my eye on it. The last thing you want to do is get bit by a pteradactyl, if you do there will be hundreds of them on you in a matter of seconds- they are very dangerous aminals. I took a couple of metal working machines down to some place in S.C, I don't remember the name of the place but it was about 15 or 20 miles from West Columbia on rt.1. They went to a garage in a back yard, no sign or anything indicating that it was a place of binness. Good thing they invented cell phones. No room to turn around or anything, I had to back in off the highway. Some dude at the TA...I wrote the caption. Today's truck driver I guess. An Astro in Camilla, Ga. I went down there to get a load of trailers going to Appomattox, Va. Nice little load- like being empty.

I haven't been to any exotic locations, like New Mexico, but I did go to a little car show just up rt. 29 at Yellow Branch last week end. Here's a few highlights- it wasn't a very big show, but they had some really nice units there- Always liked this model Corvette- This '70 Nova SS 454 might have been my favorite...OK, it was my favorite, maybe because my first car was a '72 Nova. I might call Sonny Leonard and see about getting one of these to swap into the Ranger pickup.
