  1. Saw an accident scene on the Pa. Pike. A rock truck going up the hill over there- Big rock trucks-
  2. I got around this week, covered a lot of ground- I saw a pickup truck with big stacks on I-85 in N.C. one day. I turned my secret spy microphone on so I could hear what they were saying - I saw an oversize load in Pa. too. ..and a Superliner ahead... ...beside me... ...then behind me- Never mind.
  3. Really! At least pretend like you're a little bit appreciative of what you have too- none of that (boss man)- "Would you change that burned out light bulb for me please?" (employee)- "Naw,that's not my job, I was hired to keep the waste baskets emptied, not change light bubs."
  4. Oh no, I know all about birds and i'm with Gmerrill0516 on this one- the pterodactyl is definitely performing CPR on the squirrel. Poor little feller...probably got hit by a fire truck or something.
  5. You are exactly right about that, i've been stopped by a few police and DOT men who were fairly polite, but for the most part they treat you like a common criminal right from the start. I've heard people say "treat them with respect, and you'll get the same." Bullshit! I'm always nice, polite, and respectful to the officer if I get stopped for anything, but seldom get treated with any respect by them in return.
  6. I was looking at a row of army trucks at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds, from fairly old to pretty new ones, and I was surprised that every last one of them had an automatic transmission in it.
  7. I have to admit, when I went over to the lunch truck there was hardly anything there that I recognized. It was all Mexican food, as most of the workers at this job site in Gaithersburg,Md. were Mexican. He said it was a beef burrito- didn't look anything like the burritos at 7-11,eh?- so I got one of them. But it was pretty good, and it was "stick with you" food- I wasn't hungry again 15 minutes later.
  8. I saw this video on Fox and Friends this morning...Anna Kooiman was extra smoking hot too- wow!
  9. I hate when they do that- might be my imagination, but it seems like when they get beside you they slow down to stay beside you, like they're waiting on reinforcements to get there or something.
  10. Oh...I'd much rather be in Lynchburg than anywhere near Richmond, but that's just me.
  11. I saw this sharp looking cabover Freightliner that was out of Canada at Cowpens, S.C. A red forklift at the shop. A green forklift at the shop, and a red truck down in back. They pulled this forklift out of the bushes, where it had been parked for 8 or 10 years, put a starter on it and some batteries in it and it started right up. It has a 3-53 Detroit Diesel in it.
  12. As soon as I told them I knew 1958FWD they gave me the red carpet treatment for some reason, it was amazing.
  13. Hey thanks Paul, i'll do that next time.
  14. Saw some secret stuff at the Aberdeen Proving Ground. I picked up these water storage tanks there, they're called Hippos.
  15. ...Then she had to go and put a rain suit on- A bird getting some lunch- I went to a different place, I went to the food truck and got a delicious beast and bean burrito- probably tasted better than it looked! Saw a girl in a car on a cell phone too- Saw a lot of deer.
  16. I took a pile of pictures this week- as randyp says I took a picture of everything I saw- like this big Mack truck at Art Reed's- and airplanes in the sky. and birds... baby birds a girl in a car on a cell phone- This little girl manhandling a big hose-
  17. He works at Carter Machinery now? That's right up here on 29 by Powell's. Is he driving back and forth from Fork Union every day? That's a pretty good ways!
  18. Sometimes, but when I do I just rub my belly with one hand and pat myself on the head with my other hand, while jumping up and down and turning in circles. Been working fine so far.
  19. Don't tell anybody this, but I don't think any of the cameras even work, except the one looking at the fuel pump. Taking the wood wouldn't be that big of a deal, because you can get more, but it was chained down on the front of the trailer I pull all the time and there was more wood on trailers dropped right beside it with no chain or straps on it. When they saw a chain on the wood and a sign on the front of the trailer that said "do not pull",signed by Jeff, they had to know it was somebody else's stuff. They even kept the chain and binder.
  20. I've heard of a watermelon roast before, first time i've seen pictures of one, or heard of one this big. I believe that at most watermelon roasts they only roast one watermelon.
  21. Since somebody took all my 4x4's off my trailer, and the chain and binder I had on them, I had to scrounge up more. I applied some red krylon to it so I could easily recognize it when somebody takes it next time. I put my padlock on the binder too. It was an inside job too, shame when your own co-workers steal your equipment like that, especially when there was wood in the rack beside the shop and on other trailers that was not chained or strapped down. Saw a big Mack truck on rt. 522 in W.V. And a Diamond T. I saw a big Mack truck near Indiana, Pa. too. IH Scout sitting in Ferrall, Pa. Cabover Ford in the building at Griffin Pipe in Lynchburg. I saw a girl at the Sheetz in Madison Heights getting some air. Saw Greendash motoring down the highway.
  22. Ding-ding-ding, we have a winner!
