  1. Me too....I mean me neither...I mean "I agree!" I was watching "Alaska Bush People" the other day, and the Brown's new boat has an 8V-71 in it.
  2. The black and blue B model looks great!
  3. I went to over to Winfall to get some Winfall Wimmin to give me a hand pulling it, but as soon as I saw them with a gas grill I just left and came back home to pull my own meat.
  4. Thank you Vlad. Here's the rest of the boston butts story-
  5. Sorry to hear of your back problems, glad your move worked out well for you though. Rob deleted all his posts and left, don't know what happened to Morgan, Paul pops in about once a year, don't know about Garth.
  6. I bought a 2001 Focus for my wife, when she passed away in 2005 I traded it for a 2002 Ranger pickup. Has over 150,000 miles on it now, still runs like a new one.
  7. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Boston butt or pork butt is the American name for a cut of pork that comes from the upper part of the shoulder from the front leg and may contain the blade bone.[1] Boston butt is the most common cut used for pulled pork, a staple of barbecue in the southernUnited States. In the United Kingdom, Boston butt is known as pork shoulder on the bone, since regular pork shoulder normally has the bone removed and then rolled and tied back into a joint. This is three of them, on the smoker.
  8. That's a mighty big boat in that little creek. I like that GMC wrecker though, looks good.
  9. Good luck! I used to go to "The beautiful Charlotte Motor Speedway, where the pre-race activities are worth the price of admission" (Humpy Wheeler) with my wife all the time in the 80's.
  10. Very cool indeed! I just got the boston butts out of the fridge, where they've been thawing since last weekend. Guess i'll make some pulled pork barbecue. I rinsed them off, scored the fat cap, coated them with the rub, then wrapped them in plastic and put them back in the fridge. I want to get them in the smoker early. And, they're saying 90% chance of rain and thunderstorms here tomorrow. If I get rained out i'll just make barbecue and freeze it.
  11. Oh, did I post this one?..can't remember.
  12. Went to Moneta from Winchester and got a load of lumber going to Warren, Pa. Stopped at Broadway on the way back up the road, where I spotted this wild animal across the road from the fuel stop. Saw lots more wild animals in Pa. Some road shots- going to Warren. Then I went to Greenville to get a load of roll-offs. Had to wait for Green Dash to get his bills signed before I could get around back to get loaded. I got in another backup before the 79-70 split. Took about an hour to get from here to where 79 south splits again. I was beginning to wonder if I wouldn't be better off turning around and going back north to I-80, then taking 80 east over to 81, then 81 south to I-70, then taking 70 west back to 79 south. I did see the best girl in a car yet going south on 79 though. My hours were about up so I stayed at the truckstop at Mt. Nebo, W.V. last night. I looked around some of the old equipment that's just parked in a field there. Pay Hauler interior- The left pedal operates the engine brake- And, for 58FWD- he loves this stuff.
  13. Somewhere up around Woodstock on I-81 two trucks went off-roading. One was way out in a field. Never heard exactly what happened. Sitting in Winchester- I saw another girl in another car going back south on 81. They were getting the truck out of the field went I went back by. Another girl in another car- each one seems to be a little better than the last.
  14. I got depressed reading about all the gloom and doom, that's only going to get worse by the way, so i'll post some pictures of the week. Like this gumball machine at Appomattox Hardware- a great big gumball machine. ...and this sign. This sign was in front of the place where I loaded some plates in Chattanooga, going to Winchester, Va. It was across the field from that place over there. I saw Bob go by when I was waiting to back in. I was fooling with different camera settings- Bob is in "nostalgic sepia" here. I have no idea what that means. When he came back he was in "sharp contrast monochrome", which i'm pretty sure means "black and white". I saw a bird too. A girl in a car in a nice dress. Loooooooong backup at the Johnson City exit. Hey, there's Bob again! Flag on the hill, just south of Bristol. I passed Green Dash on 81... ...but he apparently knows some secret shortcut through the woods, because I passed him again later. He had stopped and changed units somewhere and still came out ahead of me.
  15. We're on it...
  16. I remember the "giant sucking sound" very well.
  17. How big is it? How much does it weigh? I don't know who's running the mill rolls from Petersburg to Milton now, but somebody is. You could give Todd Moore a call and see what he says,434 993 2216. I f I was doing the Milton run i'd have him knock off the driver's pay, that would give you a little bit of a discount.
  18. you mean Raleigh,N.C?
  19. I would try that. I saved a Roanoke paper last week that had a recipe for some kind of cherries soaked in some kind of liquor that George Washington supposedly made. I forgot what it was called...and forgot what I did with the recipe.
  20. It actually came off this 5000 Ford tractor. The one that's now on the Saturn came from this Mack.
  21. We used to unhook the wagons too when we had to back one into the shed or barn. Then we would hook the tongue to the bumper on the front of the tractor and back it in, made it a little easier...or probably a lot easier.
  22. Coming up next- "a-holes who put $2,000 worth of 20'' 'rims' and tires on their $500 POS cars"...stay tuned!
  23. I had to order one for a 5'' stack today, couldn't find one at the parts store- biggest they had was a 2''. When it comes in i'm gonna hack saw it off square and put the rain cap on for her. NoClueJoe66 got her a special helmet to wear when she's driving too, even has her nickname on it- "krash bandy-koot"
