I took a 2 stop load of pipes to Fredericksburg and Norfolk Monday. I saw Greendash in the mirror down around Hampton. Approaching the Hampton Roads bridge tunnel- This is in the tunnel ...and the light at the end of the tunnel. ...and out the other side. I saw a big red Mack where I delivered. Then I went to Chesapeake and picked up an empty container and took it to Richmond- the lift is carrying the one i'm getting. They unloaded it different in Richmond- they hooked a chain to a lift and dragged it backwards until it was almost off the trailer, then picked up the front end of it while I pulled out from under it. Saw a big dust cloud on 460 when I was going to Richmond. It came from a combine in a soybean field. Then Tuesday I had to go get my physical renewed, then went to get a load that was already loaded on a drop deck going to Oaktown, In. This was it...all of it...700lbs. Could have hauled it on my pickup. Then I went to Marion, Ky. to get a load going to Monroe, Va, just up 29 from Lynchburg. I saw a bridge on the way to Marion. Then I saw smoke up ahead. Must be a smoke factory. Then I saw a brush pile smoking. Then I saw a truck on the shoulder smoking. I don't know what this guy hauls, but he has plenty of straps. This girl at the rest area asked me if I would check her oil for her because she didn't know where the dipstick was, of course I told her I didn't have time. This is what I loaded in Marion, railroad lights and switches, probably weighed less than 10,000 lbs. Saw a big green Mack truck. I saw this F model on rt. 641 before I got to Marion, but I didn't get a picture. I caught it on the way back though, and got a better picture just holding the camera out the window without even looking and aiming behind me. Eagle Rock, Va. Skinny road in Monroe- this was on the way out, after i'd unloaded at the rail yard. I have to make a right turn there by the pole. Then up the hill and back out to rt. 29...piece of cake,eh?
