  1. Looking for a picture in a photo album, found this- Sometime in the 80's...well, I don't really remember for sure, but alcohol might have been a factor. No alcohol involved here, 1983- Winfall wimmins doing their part to control the deer population-
  2. Good for you Jay, and good luck with it- glad they're giving you what you want!
  3. I should take up hunting again, I see more and more deer all the time. Going up 79 in W.V. right before dark they're all over the place- and, they're delicious!
  4. I hate having to go to that part of the world, I manage to avoid it for the most part. However, I did manage to save way more than 15% on a turkey today. I bought a frozen turkey for us, not a "name brand" Butterball or something, it was a Jenny O brand. I figure seen one turkey, seen 'em all. Cost less than $10 for an almost 15 lb. turkey. Then I was going to get a couple of turkey breastesess to smoke for my nieces, they love my smoked turkey and chicken. Just a breast would be plenty for them and it wouldn't take near as long to smoke and cook them as it would a whole turkey. And just a breast- same brand, Jenny O- was $14! I couldn't see it, that just doesn't make any sense at all, so I went and got another whole 14 lb. turkey for under 10 bucks.
  5. And that left turn takes you right into the state police area headquarters!
  6. I was leaving the steel mill in Petersburg Tuesday with a load of beams going to Florence, S.C. when I saw some wild animals- Saw a cabover GMC truck in Columbia, S.C. Saw this IH where I picked up a load of lumber. And more wild animals... Saw a catfish truck on 460. And a couple of wood trucks in W.V. This one had a happy looking stick- Some jackass stole all my wood off the trailer when I had to take that dropdeck trailer to Akron last week. Somebody else delivered the load of lumber I had and strapped it down on the trailer for me and brought it back to the yard where somebody took every piece of it and left the straps dangling off the trailer. I've accumulated some more and locked it up. Another load of coils from Sharon Coatings. I was coming down 79 in Pa. yesterday when somebody hollered at me on the CB, "how about that F.L.Moore truck- is that you Tommy?" I said "yeah, go ahead". "This is Sleepwalker". So I said "OK, looking good back that way, ain't seen nuthin' to bother you". "OK, you're looking good down to 70" Then I was thinking "sleepwalker- who the **** is sleepwalker...I don't know him, must be a new driver. I didn't even see another F.L.Moore truck...maybe it's the a-hole that stole my wood." Then it finally dawned on me- it was the slpwlkr! So I called him on the phone and we talked for a while. I'm a little slow sometimes.
  7. I was looking for an old randyp, AKA "the human tripod", reference I had about the time he got into some trouble at the airport, but I couldn't find it. I did however find a good picture story from the past...
  8. Here's some potential parts trucks for you-
  9. I was off yesterday to go to the dentist, truck was in the shop for an alignment anyway. Now i'm waiting for my next secret mission...hope it's nowhere near Buffalo- just saw on the weather channel the lake affect snow from northeastern Ohio across to western N.Y. will be measured in feet, coming down 3 to 5 inches an hour. I don't mind the cold but I hate the snow and ice that comes with it.
  10. I'm glad to hear he's still with us, hope he's enjoying his retirement in Hawaii. I never knew what became of him.
  11. I'll try Vinnie, don't know when I might be there again though, I usually have to go north rather than south- especially in winter it seems.
  12. Yep, what they said, and good luck to you.
  13. I ran across these on Facebook a while ago, I think they're from Columbia, but anyway some super sharp looking older trucks, and still working- Check out the bulldogs on this International-
  14. I bought a 2002 Ranger in '05 or '06, 4 cyl, 5spd, had 40-some thousand miles on it then, has a hundred thousand more on it now and it's been one of the best vehicles i've ever had.
  15. Or, you could get your aunt to start a compost pile for you and put the potato peelings, coffee grounds, etc. in it- it's good for your garden. I don't even peel my potatoes most of the time, I just scrub then good with a vegetable brush under running water, and cut out any bad places I see. And I don't chew my fingernails.
  16. The infield- l. to r.- 3rd. basewimman, shortstop, 2nd.basewimman, 1st. basewimman.
  17. heavy duty industrial grade pencil sharpener.
  18. Neat stuff there, I liked this comment too- "Only an American could have an arse this big."
  19. He said he made the run across there all the time and he had stopped in that same spot many times because of slick roads. He was a local driver, in a daycab with super singles so he might have had ditch experience before, those super singles suck on a slick road. After I was spinning coming up that hill I didn't want to go down the big one before you get to 219. It's not marked what per-cent the grade is, but that sucker is steep!
